Key and Dana made a rule not to French kiss for musical 'Bonnie & Clyde'?

 

Key and Dana were guest stars on the September 18 installment of MBC's 'Radio Star.'  On this day, the two talked about their kiss scene in the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde.'

 

It was revealed that Dana felt awkward about the kiss because the two of them were very close.  Key then said something shocking: "We made a rule that we would not use our tongues."

Kyuhyun asked who made up that rule.  Key pointed to Dana and Dana yelled, "You did!" She quickly became a victim of Key's teasing as she tried to convince everyone that Key was the one who made up the rule.  Kim Gu Ra sided with her, half-jokingly saying that Key was a scary person for bending the truth.  

 

Key also said that during their practice that day, Dana started using her lips more, which Dana denied.  She protested, "Key wanted me to," and related a time Key asked her, "Why do you dislike kissing me so much?"

 

To support their personal claims in this amusing argument, the two even resorted to mimicking their kissing with their hands.  Watch the full clip above to see for yourself.

Dana reveals why she turned down Won Bin's offer to eat together

 

 

Dana appeared on the September 18 episode of MBC's 'Radio Star,' revealing an incident when she turned down Won Bin's offer to eat together.

 

Understandably, any girl would be jealous and shocked at hearing this story.  However, Dana's reasoning proved to be quite understandable and even endearing.

 

She said, "At the time, I turned him down with something that was not exactly a rejection.  That was the time when I was going around saying I liked Won Bin and he mentioned in passing that we should eat together sometime.  However, I truly thought that I was not prepared to meet Won Bin at the time.  I had gained weight and even had acne because of puberty.  It turns out I was the only one preparing my feelings," causing amused laughter around her.

 

She concluded wryly, "I believe it's time to resolve my feelings for Won Bin," probably as he is currently dating actress Lee Na Young.  Well, you had your chance, Dana!

This is just me thinking but, why are the girls mostly in musicals that involve other SM artitsts? I think Dana did Catch Me If You Can with Key, Sunny, and Kyuhyun, Sunday did High School Musical with Luna and Ryeowook, and now Dana doing Bonnie and Clyde with Key. I think there's more but I'm not sure.

Dana "Without the Company Knowing I Did an Internet Audition for the First Time"

 

 

Dana recently without the company knowing applied to do an online audition.

For singer Dana, it is no longer awkward being known as a musical actor. Because she started with appearing in the musical 'Peter Pan' during her teen years, followed by 'Jewel in the Palace', 'Three Musketeers', 'Rock of Age', 'Catch Me If You Can' etc. and steadily filling up her filmography. Even now, Dana is enthusiastically performing as Bonnie, the main character for the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde'. More and more Dana's mature musical acting and singing ability is receiving praise from the audience and critics as "going beyond people's expectations".

Dana recently in an interview with Newsen honestly revealed her effort and a surprising episode to appear on 'Bonnie & Clyde'.

"Truthfully, I have done a few musicals and productions before. On all such occasions I thought that because I sang songs for a long time, the singing method in a musical was not suitable for me. Personally, a lot of time and effort was invested but at the thought the singing method would hardly change, I lost a lot of confidence. However, I really like musicals and its fun. I wanted to continue. Because of that, for a while I did not do musical work and strive for vocal lessons. That time, like fate I heard news of 'Bonnie & Clyde'. It was not like I received an offer to be cast, but 'Bonnie &Clyde' being made, the musical itself, made my heart flutter and pound."

Dana personally set out and obtained the script for the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde' and read it. After reading the script, Dana's passion increasingly grew strong. Because in the play, the carefree and confident character of Bonnie came closer in being appealing. The musical numbers were of course captivating to Dana's ears. In the end, Dana made a big decision.

"Normally, the company says ‘Dana, there is this musical, what do you think of it? Do you want to do it?' and offers it to me and I participate in the production audition. But this time in 'Bonnie & Clyde' it was different. I heard the production information first and to the company I brought it up first about the 'musical 'Bonnie & Clyde'. I said 'I wish I could do this'. On the company's side 'It's a little abrupt' they tried to dissuade me, but I kept begging 'Just once, can you let me meet them? On the outside, I strongly appealed to them, but truthfully in the inside, I thought that I wouldn't be cast"

Dana carefully started to undo one episode of the meet and relation of the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde' It was embarrassing and cautious words, but her face was full of her smile.

"This was something that the company and even my manager did not know. Normally, musical actors would submit through the internet a application to audition. Through the application, you will get the chance to audition. I, of course without the company or manager knowing submitted my application through the internet. Though, I received no call backs. Inside I thought in disappointment that, 'I was dropped', but the company called me back. They wanted to see my audition. I was really happy."

It was a difficult chance at grabbing the audition and Dana was really nervous. Dana recalled that in those days of auditioning, "following that day, the director was difficult and scary...you wouldn't know how much I shook. Perhaps, it was because the feelings that I wanted to do this was too advanced. That time, the director said to me 'Dana you've become a bit different. I now know how much you want to do this'. A few days later, I heard the casting news. Like a manic patient, I was so excited I was jumping around."

Dana at the young age of 10 years old debuted as an idol singer and had a vigorous activity as an actress. Her uniquely cute and bubbly charm received a lot of love. Since then, she had activities under the girl group 'Cheong Sang Ji Hee, solo singer, actress, idol, and now musical actor. She passed a not too short entertainment life and the whole level of popularity awareness. The fact that Dana personally took the lead in submitting an actor's audition through the internet, that is somewhat incredulous. Did she not worry about the public's view? Despite that, Dana without thinking personally submitted the internet audition. It means that to Dana the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde' was that much appealing to her.

The musical will be performed from September 4th, to October 27th at the Chungmu Art hall coliseum.

Lina to star in Musical 'The Moon Embracing The Sun' In Japan

Lina took part in a press release today with Supernova's Kim Sunje to talk about their upcoming musical in Japan. The Musical is based off the popular television drama by the same name and has had high views both in Korea and Japan. More details to come.
