MoshiMoshi 10,792
I have a new computer so it came with Mavericks. No problems at all for me. If you want to revert back, you'd probably just have to re-install an older OS from a disc
oye123 1,615
yup. what was suppose to happen? right now I'm trying out Yosemite Beta 2 though and it has bugs well for me the system downloaded bt i think maybe (bt doubt it) the issues within the laptop's system is hindering the completion of this download mavericks works absolutely fine with my computer, it might be just a selective issue for your computer. would you mind explaining your issue, please..? i think this issue correlates with spotlight, where i think for mavericks to work good spotlight has to be completed too bt for me that is where that issue arises spotlight estimating time for the download is indefinite and continues to estimate time for a few days and at some points in those days it freezes up the system and the laptop has to be restarted. and the cycle repeats

If you want to revert back, you'd probably just have to re-install an older OS from a disc the initial system was already built in to the laptop upon its purchase and i didnt receive any disc/s so reinstalling that way wont work for me
MoshiMoshi 10,792
the initial system was already built in to the laptop upon its purchase and i didnt receive any disc/s so reinstalling that way wont work for me Oh...well if you just bought a new laptop I'd just get used to Mavericks. It's not really that different from any of the past OS Apple has used nvm I misunderstood. Not sure how you'd revert back, then. Mavericks shouldn't be giving you that many problems if you have a compatible machine. In that case I'd take it in to an Apple store if you can

27lines 781
Taking it to the store is a good idea. They do a surprising amount for free. I do a fresh install each year and haven't had problems, but you're not the first to have issues when upgrading. You can definitely install an older version but you'll probably have to back up your files and wipe the whole disk. There are definitely tutorials for everything out there. Search for "mavericks revert to _____" or something like that.
