On the evening of September 3rd, Korean girl group “LADIES’ CODE†got into a serious accident. Currently, September 4th,  member RiSe remains in a comatose state.

The group’s agency, Polaris Entertainment, announced on the 4th, “RiSe still hasn’t woken up, she does not appear to be getting better as of now. If something new happens, we will announce it to you allâ€.

On the evening of September 3rd, the group’s van was making its way from Daegu back to Seoul when the van slipped on the rainy road and lost control. Fellow member EunB passed away from this accident.

At night on the 3rd, RiSe went into surgery at 2am and was there for 10 hours. She had undergone surgery due to a head injury, but the surgery was cut short when her blood pressure suddenly dropped. She is currently resting in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Member Sojung is scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon for facial fractures. Members Ashley and Zuni were blessed to only have minor injuries and are currently being evaluated for mental trauma from the incident.

[+6095, -934] What? So it looks like the cause of the accident was due to sliding on the road. Other reports said that it was because the van lost a tire… I pray that she recovers.

[+5698, -944] I don’t usually see news like this, but it’s quite serious. Please do your best.

[+4880, -741] This is definitely awful news, but probably not something that needs to be posted in detail in Japan

[+3922, -839] She can still get better. Do your best.

[+3067, -346] I personally am interested in this news, but why was it at the top of every news site since yesterday?

[+2349, -160] That accident is truly horrible, I hope she has happiness in the next world… But I think it’s really weird that all of these Japanese news sites are posting articles about this Korean group that no one has heard of… Also, it’s weird because the information the news articles are reporting keep changing little by little.

[+2327, -190] Of course, it was a Hyundai van wasn’t it? If it were a Japanese van they wouldn’t have changed the articles to say that the van “slipped†instead of the truth that the tire flew off.  They’ll get what’s coming to them. Regardless, I still really hate the fact that someone died because of it.

[+2116, -294] I want to say “do your bestâ€, but who is she?

[+1624, -162] This news is pretty persistent. This news just keeps showing at the top of the news sites. It’s an awful accident, but isn’t domestic news more priority?

[+1561, -144] If this was a Japanese car I wonder what would be done! It’s clear what happened and I hope they really push for someone to take responsibility.

What is comatose state

It's when someone is in a coma, when someone is not able to wake up. It does not necessarily mean she is brain dead, just that she is not waking up. It is likely that (since she is in the ICU with a brain injury) that it could be a medically induced state as well.

WOW! Daebak! this person managed to be racism on this such kind of article.

korea-related yahoo japan comments here are fucking racism in general. i'm curious how comments on other sites are.

It's probably the same on Japanese related articles on Korean sites. The difference in it seems Japan posts them and has sections because there is somewhat of a Hallyu fanbase in Japan, not so much in Korea...since Japanese celebs dont really need to branch out as much. =\ It sucks and is unfortunate, but think of them just as your YT trolls and regular trolls.

Imagine if this same news was posted on a popular US site, I'm sure it would get the same/similar comments. =\
