Do you ever participate in charity work?

I did when I was younger. I used to collect food and clothing to help poor families. Unfortunately, I had to stop because I started to study all day. I'm planning to go back when I'm less busy with college and all.

 

Do you ever participate in charity work? If not, would you like to try someday?

I prefer using the term philanthropic, most people do charity to feel good about themselves rather than out of care.

i spent my whole spring break senior year of high school preparing and serving food for people in need.

i work with the homeless in London 5 days a week. Full time voluntary to build my resume/training/hours for potential Masters (in Social Work) at some point in the near future...but I chose this particular centre over paid options in NYC, because it was more hands on...and London really really needs more people involved w/ the homeless...it's ooc atm.
I was also a Special Olympics volunteer player/assistant (football) as a teen for 5 years... and i've traveled to different parts of Africa for 3 month long services about 4 times...

In high school i also worked at a food kitchen in Boston on Saturdays....and volunteered to work at many of the blood drives at my school and in the area (since i'm anemic and nobody wants my blood usually  -_- )

 

My parents always kept me and my siblings very involved in voluntary work...and it stuck i guess.

My friends and I were in charge of our school's volunteer club and we did soup kitchens, collected clothes for the poor, picked up trash around the school, etc.... We actually enjoyed it, but ever since we all split into different high schools, we never really got the chance to do it again. My high school's Key Club isn't really that great and I have no time these days to run a club.

Yep, I'm a member of Amnesty International UK and I used to be a part of the AIUK Youth Advisory Group.

I donate a couple of pounds each month and I've been campaigning with some of my fellow peers at school about human rights issues.

Yes when I was in high school a lot and a few times in Uni. For 3 years I volunteered at a hospital, helped at shelters, Ronald mcdonald house, organize fundraisers, red cross, collecting cans for organizations.... Although the last year I haven't done much

Yep for school and outside.

In the old H8 I said that I volunteered to teach young children stuff.

Now I'd add that I play the guitar and volunteer with the Youth Com in our Church.
