ive always noticed the frequency with which jpop artists/groups will come out with material [well, at least more than kpop]. for a group/soloist/band at the peak of their career, how many albums are released within, say, a three year span[on average]. or am i just mistaken and they simply just promote multiple songs off of the album?

They promote singles which are included on the album when they release it.  Most likely you'll see a single or two and then an album the following year if you're lucky.  It varies depending on the artist.  Even at an artist's peak you will never see more than one album in a year.

False. Ayu has 3 years in which she released 2 studio albums.

And also the number of singles varies. One or 2 is kinda low; 3 or 4 is the average.
