xXXXXXx 1,252
ive always noticed the frequency with which jpop artists/groups will come out with material [well, at least more than kpop]. for a group/soloist/band at the peak of their career, how many albums are released within, say, a three year span[on average]. or am i just mistaken and they simply just promote multiple songs off of the album? elfyeol 14,275
I think that they release a lot of "singles" and for albums they release like one or two a year (I could be wrong though lol)
Mandilinn 7,814
Depends on the artist/company. There's anywhere from 2-4 singles released before an album. The time between singles/albums is entirely up to the artist.
TAE ZONE 10,428
for akb48 etc., they release 3-4 single albums a year. single albums consists of 3 songs + 3 instrumentals. every 2 years or so, a full album (which basically has old released songs) is released
NATURAL NI KOISHITE 2,184
I think what AKB does is a million singles then an album Perfume will do 3 singles then an album for their tours
Magus27 2,988
They promote singles which are included on the album when they release it. Most likely you'll see a single or two and then an album the following year if you're lucky. It varies depending on the artist. Even at an artist's peak you will never see more than one album in a year.

One or 2 is kinda low; 3 or 4 is the average.
