Do you think k-pop groups have groupies?? (specifically male ones)

Recommended Posts

Meh... maybe a few...

Considering the pressure that fans tend to put on their idols and the saesangs that follow them, it would be hard to have groupies in the traditional sense.

2PM? Lots of rumors circulating about that quite a while ago.

Aside from them, I disagree with people suggesting that it would be mostly groups that are popular. I'd like to think that working hard enough to survive a big label calls for some responsibility and integrity to the profession. I could definitely see more members of D-list groups cashing in on cheap pleasures often because they're not predisposed to having a lot to lose with not enough power to survive a scandal (most B-list and C-list groups). The type that want easy money, easy fame, easy sex y'know?

what is groupie tbh?

Idk if you're asking seriously but, a groupie is someone who follows a band on tour and most likely sleeps with the members or other touring staff.

yeah tbh this seems the most likely. big stars have too much to lose and too many eyes on them, moderate celebs have a bit more leeway in this respect

basically it's like indie bands vs mega pop stars in the west too imo. indie bands sleep around aaaalllllll the time

eh it was a while ago when there were claims that 2PM were jerks to Jay, hence they were jerks in general with all this "exclusive" sasaeng info

this is obviously nothing solid.. I'm having a tough time finding the pictures since this was 4 years ago

I think they all have their availability to groupies, regardless of star level. I do believe that those who have the greater star power would be a bit more careful and would rely on their PR to make sure nothing gets out or out of hand. I think the K-pop industry in general is very good with that aspect, which is why many fans would have a hard time believing situations like these on an ordinary instance.
