On August 30, Super Junior appeared as guests on “KBS Entertainment Weeklyâ€, as they are making a comeback with 10 members for “MAMACITAâ€. Earlier in the week, we reported that Super Junior expressed that they do not mind losing their popularity to EXO. AOA debuted in 2012, while Super Junior made their debut in 2005. Despite the 7-years difference, Heechul chose AOA as rivals, explaining that, “If I see someone prettier than me, I get angryâ€, causing laughters as he always does on variety shows. Since Heechul is well-known for his pretty boy looks, it is understandable that he gets concerned when somebody appears with prettier features. Heechul has also previously revealed himself as a fan of AOA. When he was coupled with Puff in “We Got Marriedâ€, Heechul got extremely excited when he saw AOA on television, and even exclaimed “I need to see AOAâ€, and introduced the girl group to Puff as the best girl group in Korea. Occasionally, Heechul also shows his fanboy side by dancing to AOA’s songs. While Heechul continues his love-hate relationship with AOA, Super Junior will be promoting their 7th album “MAMACITAâ€, with their physical album to be released in stores on September 1st. The fact that AOA made it through so many nugus is proof that the company sure knows how to work the scene. Netizens went from calling them ugly to worshipping them in 6 months.
