It's sad to hear him say it. But I think most ELF have realized it.   

 

I also cant understand why ppl after so many years change the fandom... I can understand when ppl stan some Fandoms in the same time, but completely change the Fandom from one day to another???? Its always so sad..

I can sort of understand that. People fall out of love or their taste changes.
 
I've had several artists (non kpop) that I was obsessed with at one point and then my love for them faded away over a period of time.

I'm late but I'll give an opinion. 

 

New posters and lurkers, please don't misunderstand. We are a friendly bunch (er.. well most of us xP). And nobody is trying to tell you what to post. (Although, any negative comments on other groups/fandoms in the thread doesn't really look good.. don'tknowifthatshappenedbutimjustsaiyanjustincase) People have the right to their opinion and you have the right to yours. Maybe this discussion/disagreement was a way to good way to clear up some things. (?)

 

And I'm really confused by the comment of not wanting/being worried to bring up topics about SJ in the thread?

and just so you know guys, we are not just doing thise because you are new and we are old posters and love to gang up on you or somthing like it might appear, those "rules" are the same for us too and we respect them, it is just that we never had to mention them before because like i said it was like an inside culture

 

for example, i am an ancient poster, i am in the center of the jerk circle ( ) and i used to be a self proclaimed queen of the thread before i was bullied down from my throne ( ), in H8 i sued to spazz so much about Jaejoong, talk about him and spam his photos endlessly, some posters even joked about him being another member of SJ and that we should add him to the tags because i just used to talk about him THAT much but no one had a problem with that as far as i know and that's why everyone was cool with it

but when we moved to OH, some poeple (Yasmin and Lulu ) said they think it would uncomfortable for the new posters to keep going that much off topic and that we (they mean "i" ) should tone down the Jae spazzing in the SJ thread. well it is true that i bitched about it a couple of times but that was just to make Yasmin and Lulu feel guilty and i eventually stopped spazzing about Jae and spamming his photos here

Wae this makes me sound like a bully.  Good thing nobody knows my nickname.

Take it or leave it but instituting these "unwritten" rules is making me uncomfortable to some extent because it seems to me that it just makes people wary and a bit fearful of saying anything that is not spazzing. People should be free to say whatever they want, this is not China or a dictatorship. You guys say yea no one is stopping you from say whatever you want, but you are. There is a sense that actually, you can't say whatever you want, it must follow certain guidelines. I was hoping that the SJ thread wasn't that sort of place and we are free with whatever people's opinions are and able to discuss them like adults. We shouldn't be the sort to be afraid of other people's opinions, to censor ourselves in fear of what other people think. I know the reason and the intent behind all this and I do agree with that intent. Yes, I do hope everyone posts only things that are sensible and won't end up in bashing SJ, but you know, I'd rather people feel free to say whatever they want than to restrict themselves because of certain unwritten rules.

 

Is the unwritten rule about not bashing other groups bad?

 

 

 

 

I was today bullyed from God for my Rant about everyone and everything in the past Time i guess.. I was stung by a bee (the 2nd time in my life) . It became red, hurt a lot (still hurting), my nerves became blanc and i was kind of puke midden in an bus station and i get black in my eyes. I see that as punishment and hope he i happy    

 

 

start with that i in general like your posts a lot, i saw a lot of them.... 

 

 

The "I cant post what i think" plays for me a big role tbh.. because I sometimes have exactly this feeling , and sadly spoken not only outside this Thread so IN this Thread aswell, without called for example delulu. I know i have the right on my opinion, but sometime i give up saying it coz i feel that other opinions are not rlly welcome and are been blocked or not understand and not even want to be understand. And ,exactly - I was one of them who a few weeks ago said "I should leave" this Forum. And yes I wanted to leave... And when a few ppl on this Forum didnt say to me, that they dont want me to leave or I should think about it a few times, i for 100 % would be gone now (sadly one of them is gone herself now :(((( *still crying*) .. coz I reached a point with this Trolls, the Hate and so on when i couldnt take it anymore.. Than TheOnly13 thing came up, so i had an excuse of an hiatus and break.  

 

I slowly came back after but somethings changed. I became an lurker again.. I think twice if i should press the Post button in Threads outside the SJ thread (sometimes in aswell).. And often  

I dont want to post coz of the hate of the user here on this Forum, or i am afraid to start conversation in and outside this Thread, so thats y i like one post Threads... and dislike making Threads in general  (and recognize thats even not that false dont to post them).. I slowly know with whom i have to deal so it easy for me dont to post, talk and dont show my noise outside that much as it was  earlier. Thats y i say  thats might be easier only to lurk and dont reply to the Trolls.. coz we cant win over them.. if we couldnt win till now, so.. there is no need to make noice and make it more bad, and thats not in our interest) (i dont know if they would losing the interests if we could completly ignoring their post and never reply, (maybe an delulu dream but hmm yeah))

Its only my feeling and my opinion- u dont have to follow me.. In moment i cant deal with hate anymore.. and i feel lot of it :(

 

And I rant myself a lot.. I know its not mature and false but i would explode if i wouldnt have let it out.. hate cause more hate, but i cant otherwise, so i rant on Twitter as last instance, coz i dont have the feeling that i can let it out here in The Thread or outside the Thread.. 

 

I was rlly friendly before I came to H8. I was aware of Fandom problems and all that shit, of course, but sadly I became like that after i deal with some user.. I dont blame the Forum. The Mods do their best and the Admins cant decide U can join and u not, but I do blame a few user/Trolls that I am like that.

In moment its not that easy for me "being not sensitive" if u see every day ppl Rant about your Bia for fun..

The best thing we all do as a thread is talk this out now and get the thread to become a place we are all comfortable in. I don't want people to leave because they feel uncomfortable, unwelcome or too censored.

I agree that for the most part, we are all quite friendly. I do, however, agree that bashing other groups and fandoms is unnesscary. We don't like when it happens to us, so why would we do it to them. If you don't like a group or fandom, just ignore them or you can admit it, but don't bash them. It makes you no better than people who do that to SJ or ELF.

 

I agree with all of this too. I think with time and getting to know each other, things will be different though. Every time someone new joins the thread, it takes time for them to get to know everyone and vice versa.

I'm thinking the reason why the thread's been so dead is because of the newbies. Not in a bad way of course, but because most of us have known each other for years and know how to act around each other and when to push and not push something that it's normal to post and not post stuff in respect of them and their wishes. With so many newbies that are here it's sort of come to a stand still because neither side knows how to deal with each other. Newbies opt for lurking instead and the oldies opt for twitter to share their thoughts and stuff old other oldies from the thread in the past. I hope this convo becomes an icebreaker for everyone ^_^

Sort of but isn't the SJ thread almost always dead?   

Honestly I know people have gotten upset and sad and perhaps a bit angry the last several pages, but doesn't it sort of feel like how (yes this sounds somewhat delusional, but it's a logical point really ^^) Super Junior has described fights among themselves and then resolving/understanding each other more?  Like SuJu members said about Sungmin/Kangin and Heechul/Eunhyuk on Intimate Note, if you don't fight it/argue it out sometime (if you don't talk at all) you will remain very uncomfortable and not close with each other.

 

Sometimes it's necessary to break some eggs to make delicious omelets and crepes ^^  I don't think anyone here has been over-the-top so why don't we get it all out (each person's concerns) in a good discussion --- obviously no bashing or insults or w/e ^)^ --- so we can work things through?  From everything I've read in this thread we can all be reasonable

I think they are a few things going on here. And since we're just picking up bits and pieces of the argument, everyone just piles up and no one actually knows what is going on.

 

From what I know:

 

1) Yasmin mentioned the no wanking in thread because of what happened with IU. I believe this was in reference to people calling IU a bitch (IDK don't take my word for it) but then it was disproportioned into the idea that we can't discuss about other idols in here or even criticise them the slightest. Talking about other idols is fine. Talking about food is fine. Talking about ass is fine. The thread used to be so OT and I think people like it being OT and that they're free to discuss anything that they want. Actually talking about other idols and criticising them is good. It makes the thread lively. But I think what we should remember (and this is something Leeteuk said) that if we say something and somehow the next day it would appear in the front page of a newspaper would we be okay with what we've just said or would we feel guilty. I mean, if you feel that you want to talk about something and you have nothing to be ashamed about it, then you shouldn't be ashamed of it. Fire away.

 

2) Aicha and Sima were having an issue with posting certain news outside of the thread. Really, in the end there will be people who are okay with it and people who aren't. I find some threads on some groups unnecessary and boasting. But most people will think nothing of it. In fact, it generates activity (even trolling is activity. In fact, trolling is the most exciting activity). Again, I'll probably apply the rule of if you feel there is nothing to be ashamed about for what you've posted, that then fire away. Also, if people do troll, just be friendly and troll back. Don't be defensive or aggressive because that's what trolls want. Can't take things seriously or you'll ruin your blood pressure.

 

3) And the last issue is probably the air in the thread. How people feel that their restricted or that people don't like them or excluded or is disapproved of. In all honesty, I think it's just differing opinions. Just people not seeing eye to eye. I don't think anyone is gonna say, hey I dislike you or you're annoying or don't post here!!! etc. They don't think so. They just disagree but they're not gonna hate you. (<- I'm being presumptuous but whey hey). There will be hard feelings but it patches up over time if you interact more. At the end of the day, yeah the thread is tense now but it doesn't mean we all hate each other, you know? It's just tension. Don't let anything that is said here get to the reader. At the end of the day, people are just offering different opinions.

 

In conclusion, it's good that we're finally airing out some of the things we don't like. Talking about it is good. It'll help fix things

It's sad to see people constantly call their music trash. I have no issue with anybody disliking their music since everybody's entitled to their opinion. But in most cases people seem to put it as the people that like it are just mindless fangirls eating up whatever oppars release ( ) rather than actually liking it. And a lot of people don't realize that people have different taste. I mean, I loathe Bohemian Rhapsody* and cringe whenever it comes on but the majority of people find it to be one of the best songs ever released. It's just a matter of personal taste. But some people already have their minds made up and there's nothing you can do. 

 

6jib was a fantastic album (imo). But it would be nice to see SJ more involved in their albums. Or for them to pick a title track they want at least. And I agree about Noizebank. They do make a lot of great songs but some of them aren't as great as others.

aaah and i think it's okay if the old posters here try to give some advice to the newer ones, they don't forced it to them. better to talk anything with each other for a better SJ thread in the future^_^ and i think sometimes(okay not sometimes but usually) the problem is language barrier. every person have different English ability, that's why sometimes some people here become too sensitive and think others mad at them when actually it's not. right?

my english also not good, sometimes i don't get others sarcasm comment easily. but hey, let's learn together. that's one good point being on a thread right?we learn to voice it out about our opinions together here.

Regarding the fact that suju self produced will risk to be cohesive and have the same kind of songs, so loosing their diversity, i don't see it that way.

The image I got in my head when I think about suju taking care of their album is that there are so many member who have their own kind of style of music they like/would like to try/etc that their album will be so diverse. So I am talking about all suju members getting involved somewhat, regardless by composing themself, or choosing/"buying" the song of their choice. For example, siwon bringing a random christian song in the album lol (yes I know they will not do such a thing and it's not a good idea anyway but it's just to illustrate what I want to mean)

If I were to meet an SJ member, I would want it to be him. The others are so intimidating but something about him feels friendly?

that's why i said i'd rather them have less complicated routines that dont require too much focus to the point of forgetting to enjoy the stage and themselves, i remember during SFS promo other than Eunhyuk the rest of the members were so stiff because they focussed so much into perfecting the moves at the expense of their stage personality and atmosphere.

 

i only remember Sungmin like always beating himself over it because he fell down while performing, i didnt even notice until he talked mentioned it.

 

i am always a fan of SJ but i dont call myself an elf anymore, and anyway the pure sapphire blue elf cicked out of the fandom so we dont really have a choice. we can't change the fact we are merely abc generics

I loved the choreo of SFS and thought they did well live but like you said, they put a lot focus into it and it made it seem less fun?

I think it's because I'm still a new fan and first performances I saw with him were something I shouldn't have based my opinion on, 'cause I got that feeling that he is lazy performer. I understand if he doesn't like lipsyncing but sometimes I felt that he wasn't even trying when others did they best. And I think his looks are overrated, there are better looking guys in SJ. :P I love how honest he is and he is the one who dares to say things against SM, so I'm pretty sure that my opinion will change when he comes back and I'll get to know him better, I judged him too quickly and harshly. About Ryeowook, I really appreciate him as a singer but his voice just isn't my favourite and he is too small and girly for my taste, I like his sassy and evil side though. I didn't include Kibum because I don't have any opinion about him, so he would be the last one on my list. I like Hangeng really much and his solo stuff is amazing.

 

I prefer Your Eyes over Coagulation.

We had the same opinion lol. When I first found SJ, I couldn't understand why the majority of the comments were about him. But after looking up on him, I grew to love him. lol
