i personally prefer individual covers just so that i can choose e member with e nicest photo n buy that 1 album     i don't have enough money to buy more than 1 cover so e problem lies in just choosing 1 member  although if sm wants more sales they will do that random photocard or photobook thing

I agree on both. I'm happy his hair is black but something feels off about the hair.

 

I prefer them to have group cover and individual pb.

We get to see all the pretty pics instead of just one cover. 

And I'm not too fond of individual covers because fans will buy their biases cover (understandably so)

and I will feel bad for those who don't sell well.

Even though Mr Simple over all sold better than SFS but it was mainly because of the repack (A-cha sold 180k while Spy sold 130)

SFS ver A+B actually sold more than Mr Simple ver A+B even thought SFS didnt have different members' covers so technically speaking they dont really need multiple covers to boost sales.

Wow, I thought SFS sold less. :x

What I think about them by superficially judging the titles:

 

1. Bari 5!

For some reason as soon as I read 'Bari 5!' I immediately thought of

. The video has influenced my prediction for the song style. To me 'Bari 5!' will be a slow tempo ballad/R&B track, light and easy to the ears. That kind of song you'll listen to when you enter bars or coffee shops.

 

2. Motorcycle

The title track. We know the concept will be sexy therefore we have more information to infer something. From the classy teaser pictures and concept definition to the album name and title track name, I'm expecting unique guitar sounds. I'm unsure what to expect of 'guitar sounds' but if I were to guess, I'd say they would tend to the old rock style. However, I think D&E will somewhat try to stay true to their style and will maintain the 80's feel, possibly will throw in some R&B as well. Donghae would, wouldn't he? So in summary, I think Motorcycle will be a combination of styles - what is so D&E by the way - and my take would be a well-made mix of Old Rock/80's Music/R&B track.

 

3. Teenage Queen

From the name itself, I'd say it'll be an old school jam of the likes of Oppa Oppa, I Wanna Dance and Oh No.

 

4. When You Cry

Slow tempo ballad quite possibly. Expecting for some nice lyrics.

 

5. Kiss Kiss Dynamite

Wtf title > Wtf song. Possibly an old school jam or a song that will be all over the place.

 

6. Ten Years

Expect it to be a deep, rich ballad with good vocal harmonization.

 

7. Champagne Girl

Can only think of it as Oppa Oppa 2.0 in terms of music style and lyrics.

 

8. Let It Go

A happy song of the likes of A-Oh!? Or more eletronic like Go?

 

 

From my expectations, I'd say Ride Me should be a pretty diversified album however still true to D&E's unit retro sound which I adore. Therefore I'd say my hopes for the album are almost hitting the roof. Can't wait to hear what they'll unleash upon us ( ) with this full album. It's the first album we'll have which SJ members' input is probably the highest possible. The curiosity is killing me right now.

 

Bari 5 - It made me think of this. Maybe it'll sound very jazzy and smooth? I like your barista idea.

Motorcycle - I'm unsure but I hope it's not like Oppa Oppa, IWD. Those are great songs but I want to see more.

Teenage Queen - I get the feeling that it will have that old school feeling too. (The song title makes me want to hear a mash up of Dancing Queen (ABBA) & Teenage Dream (Katy Perry)] 

When You Cry - This will either be mid tempo or a ballad. 

Kiss Kiss Dynamite - The title makes me think it will be like Candy (lyrics wise?)

Ten Years - The title of the song makes me think it will be a touching ballad.

Champagne Girl - This seems like it could be a celebration song. 

Let It Go - Maybe it'll be a song about letting go and having a good time (Mr Simple-ish lyrics) or like the song in Frozen.

+ Android Syndrome: Futuristic sounding?

 

You guys had better ideas but I tried~

 

Bari 5:

I think it's probably going to be a cheesy Japanese song. Like those uptempo ones you see Japanese girl groups releasing. I can't describe it well u__u Like Pon Pon Pon. Only because the name is just........ Although I like your Barista idea a lot.

 

guys do you think Eunhae will perform Oh No and IWLY in their tour?

how many songs do you think they'll perform?

 

 

for me i think there is a high possibility they'll perform them. i dont think they'll have less than 20 performances in their concerts and let's see what their discopraphy consists of

 

Ride me album = 13 songs (asuming they'll perform all the album tracks in the woncerts)

+ Still you

+ atleast 2 solo stages (first love for Donghae and Say My name or something new for Hyuk which i doubt since it would have been included in the album)

= 16 songs total

 

isnt that a bit short for a concert? KRY performed around 23 songs in their special winter concerts for comparison

 

if we add IWLY and Oh No and 2 other solo stages (probably covers or This is love with Hyuk replacing henry) and 2 solo or 1 duet dance stage it would make a perfect setlist no?

 

 

 

here is another possibility:

do you guys remember that Sungmin and Donghae were special guests in KRY's first concert tour and particpated in like 5 stages (HIT, In My dream, Mirror, What if and Heartquacke)? what if Eunhae do the same and Henry will be a guest in their tour? he can do his rap in Love that i need and This is love and performs Trap for exemple as well or/and 143 with Eunhae doing the rap like in that one stage during his promo. they also can perform So cold without Siwon  

i mean we even had guests in Super show before so this is not far fetched

I hope so. 20-25?   

 

That does seem short for a concert but I think I've seen concerts have less before.

Kangin was gone for forever and it still feels like he just got released from the army, even though it's been almost 2 years. Sometimes I think "Wow Heechul wasn't gone for long.." then i remember he left during Mr Simple promotions and i think "Mr Simple.. that was so long ago.." and Yesung hasn't been gone for a year yet but it seems like its been forever.. As for Leeteuk, it seems like that days go slower as his release day approaches.

I'm a Cloud but I find it annoying. Considering that a lot of Korean male celebrities have said that they worried over losing popularity while in the military, it just comes off as that insecurity to me.

Based on this, I hope it's ok if I make a new discussion topic:

 

Taking what SM's representative said about Super Junior's comeback into account, what are your guesses/whishes for Super Junior's new concept and music style?

 

 

 

As for me, I'm always excited for odd-numbered comebacks because it looks like SM invests more time and money in them and generally they are more successful than even ones. Also, SM promised a brand new image which makes it even more exciting for me. Super Junior members (Shindong and Kangin(?)) mentioned the new comeback will be awesome which leads me to think Super Junior members had more input in this comeback's music and concept's direction. Plus plus \o.

 

Even though I personally thought SF&S was different from SJFunky styles in all aspects, it didn't feel like a major change was made. However, we have to consider that there's a 2-year+ gap between SF&S comeback and this new comeback. Said this because I observed that SM generally takes 2 years to update/upgrade/change an idol group's image. From Oh!'s oppa-come-and-get-me days as well as SNSD's early days to The Boys when they started to appeal to girls; From Lucifer/Hello to Dream Girl; From 'O' to Mirotic, and finally from Don't Don/Marry U to Sorry Sorry. All of  those music direction, style and appeal changes happened after a hiatus of 2 years (not counting mini albums). This is what's actually making me believe SME prepared something really new/innovative for Super Junior's 7th album. Possibly even public friendly? And boys seem to like it so far because Shindong said it's going to be awesome. Or maybe he's bias. LOl.

 

Having said that, I'm expecting something SuJu has never tried before. They can't go back to doing cute concepts like Happiness, Miracle and Wonder Boy or to bubble-gum tracks like U. Super Junior is already too mature in the Industry for that. I also doubt SM will give them a SJFunky cousin. For those reasons I am expecting something really different from what we are used to hearing, at least title tracks-wise. 

 

I'd love to see them having more vocal harmonization this time around - even more than in SF&S - but I wouldn't want it to be a ballad because it would make Super Junior distant themselves from the kpop essence SM works hard to maintain and therefore would look 'old'. Maybe an R&B-ish dance track would be ok? Sounds like it would be more public friendly at least.

To be honest, I don't know what to expect or have any idea. I don't really believe SM but like you said, the two year break thing could mean a big change.

 

I just really expect good music and SJ doesn't really disappoint me in music so I have no worries there.

I wanted SJ to do a jazz track so bad but idk if SM is even able to. I mean I kinda like Something but there's "something" missing. Although that random af artist SM released an mv for sounds really good so there's that. But can't forget SJ is a pop idol group so eh .-.

Hey! Random question time, is that okay?

 

So, because of Heechul and Ryeowook, I've been watching SuJu videos pretty much all day and have fallen irrevocably in love with No Other, but the music video is confusing me. At some points there are nine of them but when they're dancing there is only eight. Why is this? It's really hurting my head? Am I counting wrong? Are there only eight the entire video?

There were 10 members in the MV but only 8 members dancing. I googled and a lot of people said that Kyuhyun was recovering from a surgery and that Siwon was busy with another schedule so they didn't participate in the dancing.
