I'll add this to the OP so more people can see it and vote~ *************************************** Since we're getting this thread back up and running again, here's a question to start some conversation: How do you feel about Zico being a judge on SMTM4 with Taewoon, Mino, and Hanhae all competing? Do you think it was set up to add "drama" to the show? Oh my, definitely. I'm so so wary about this, I don't know the real "order" that all of this was orchestrated, but Zico is there to add drama to Taewoon showtime, for sure. With Mino and Hanhae I don't expect much bad editing with Zico, but Taewoon&Zico relationship was used already in 4things to create melodrama. I'm a bit scared about the backlast that Zico would recieve aswell, because he is always portrayed as the "bad" of any situation. In fact, people are starting to complain that Zico is there to "screw Taewoon opportunity", etc. What do you think? The only ones i think will throw some jabs are the disqualified contestants, but i find it really illogical and not a big deal. Like korean hip-hop scene is not big and certainly the most relevant and talked about rappers know each other and collaborate together all the time. There were many judges-contestants connections/friendships in last years too, with some of the judges praising the contestants without getting any backlash (which is what should be, because it was their honest thoughts). Plus, i think that neither Zico nor these three will give the right to people to think they got a free pass because they're friends with Zico, i'm pretty sure they'll prove themselves. Maybe we will see some friendly stills of them, assuming they pass all these, after the auditions and team selections. About Taewoon, i am expecting some drama tbh, not because he is getting help from his brother, but rather the opposite. Like him being overshadowed by Zico or Zico not recognizing him/his talent. I think Zico wants to keep the drama out, because he really likes to be professional, but it doesn't depend only from him. Especially with the notorious editing of that show, they might make up a story even from the smallest comment. In general, i am happy about Zico being a judge, because it shows that he doesn't care about what other people think (like he is too young, he is too inexperienced, why not pick up someone with more prestige) and that he is so actively pursuing his dream to be a good producer and be recognized for it. Like he could be sitting and making music just for him and Block B and have a good reputation about making good Block B songs, but seeing he wants to expand from this too and show his capabilities with collaborating with different artists makes me think he has grown up as a producer too and that he is confident to show it. I am sure that at least in that part he will do his best, so i'm really expecting this! Yes I agree with you and, except Taewoon, I don't see anybody else as a "drama risk" for Zico. And any fan know the relationship is good amonst them (with Mino, Hanhae,...), so I think the program would use another person before Zico if they want to add some drama through editing. Also as you said it, the underground world is quite small and everybody knows everybody, but don't underestimate the hatred for Zico. He's usually get called for such randoms things... that shows that people are hungry for a "Zico's bashing moment", so they would take advantage of any chances they get. But forget about it: Taewoon is a big enough problem by himself. He's in still in MBK Entertainment (aka Core Contems), subsidiary of Mnet (where Show me the money is broadcasted). So that's means, in a reality pseudo competition like this, that the company would want he reaching semifinal at least. He's talented but in a TV show that doesn't really matter, He has to be sold, and that's mean drama and more drama. What Drama could Taewoon offer that would make him beloved? He have his mother, his father and his brother. And I can't decide which one would hurt Zico more (and I talking here about he suffering because they're delicated matters for him, not because public opinion). Also, the "poor Taewoon is overshadowed" bandwagon is really full of people already and running at full speed, so it's seems the best choice, and that would result in a lots and lots of backlash for Zico. Like I said, is starting now and we're in the pre-broadcast period. I don't know, I really really hope I'm wrong. But I want Zico out of this mess... Block B‘s Zico turned out to be one strict judge during the preliminary round of the audition for Mnet‘s rapper competition show “Show Me the Money 4“. He never forgets to offer a handshake and praise their efforts once the personal audition is done. Many have wondered, however, about why he kept asking the contestants which company or group they are affiliated with right after they failed to pass. An online community brought back a past interview that the Block B leader participated in back in 2011, where he answered a question on what he would do if they were given 10 minutes (of air time). I also noticed that with one of the idol rappers that didn't pass, after he asked for the name of the group he was from, Zico told him that he'd see him later, assuming he means at a broadcast station if Block B's promos were to overlap with their's. So sweet! Btw, I'm going to put this in the OP for everyone; this khiphop subber Aoli posted is subbing all of SMTM4. SMTM4 airs at 11PM KST on Fridays, and this subber promises to post subbed episodes every Sunday, which is VERY fast. There are other sub groups subbing SMTM4 (I know there is a VIXX sub group subbing and Teamaces, a WINNER sub group is subbing as well) but they are subbing for their idol, and if that idol is eliminated, I cannot be 100% sure that they will keep subbing it after that. And since no BBC subbers are subbing it, your best bet is by far this user! He's very supportive I found this subber via Tumblr, glad it's helpful . I agree with you that it's better to have a fan of the program subbing it, that a fan of a contestant.
