E!'s article why we should follow Amanda Bynes on Twitter (LOLworthy 100%)

Not following @AmandaBynes on Twitter?

Well, you're seriously missing out.

The 27-year-old actress has become a full-blown social media star, having amassed over a two million followers in just a few short months while tweeting her thoughts on, well, pretty much everything (including Drake, of course!).

But common folks aren't the only ones following the starlet—Bynes has successfully snagged a follow-back from some of today's top stars.

First up, Kim Kardashian, who has made no secret of her love for the "What I Like About You" star.

"Am I the only one that is obsessed with her new makeover?" the new mom said during her Chelsea Lately takeover. "I think she looks amazing with the blond hair and those nails."

And lucky for Kim, the love is mutual:

"I love the beautiful Kardashian sisters!" Bynes tweeted after Kanye West's other half complimented her look.

But Nori's mama isn't the only one who's amused by Amanda's antics.

Zooey Deschanel and Lady Gaga also follow the Twitter queen, although they have yet to comment on Bynes' peculiar posts.

Heck, even new dad Channing Tatum keeps up with the actress on Twitter. The two costarred together in She's the Man.

But not every A-list star who follows Amanda is a fan.

Jenny McCarthy and the aspiring singer exchanged a series of heated tweets after the 40-year-old blond beauty suggested Bynes needed to get help.

Luckily, the twosome made up (after Amanda called Jenny "ugly," natch), and McCarthy later told E! News, "You do not mess with Amanda!"

Nick Cannon also follows the actress and has tried to reach out in the wake of her recent behavior, although he's had no luck getting in touch with the star.

"I worked on Amanda's show when she had her show," Cannon said. "To see someone you'd seen at 9, running around with a snotty nose, and now to see her like that is like, 'Wow, man! That's sad.'"

On the other hand, Snooki, who follows Amanda on social media as well, thinks Bynes needs her own reality show and said she would "watch it all the time."

As for those lucky enough to gain a follow-back from Amanda herself?

President Barack Obama, Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane are among the select nine people Amanda follows on her feed.

But most surprising of all is the fact that Amanda and Drake do not follow each other.

Does he even know how often she's confessed her love?!

Ugh. I find it more than a little sad that people are cashing in on someone's obvious attention whoring, and that she's even generating interest enough to warrant her own TV series. Instead of getting herself some help for the obvious issues she has, she's just going to go down further, and all the while people will just be watching for their entertainment.

^ Agreed.  It's like a train wreck in slow-motion - everyone is sticking around gleefully anticipating the carnage :donthinkso:

Really sad to see, especially since she was (once, a long time ago) quite a likable actress  :._.:

She needs help, not more attention via a reality show.

Agreed, but people eat this stuff up.

I can't tell if this is some screwed comedic performance art or someone with a mental illness acting out but I'd wish she'd just stop.

If she does in fact have some ongoing mental issues I hope either she or someone around her gets help for whatever is going on.

I don't know if i find it sad at this point....that people want to make money off of her ... it's just is what it is....

we've been doing it for ages... hell... we've been doing it for centuries in one way or another..."exploiting" the crazy and/or thirsty and/or unfortunates for entertainment purposes.

I think boxers and MMA fighters are "crazy"... a lot of actors and musicians are "crazy" ... and they put themselves out there and make a living, and we are entertained by it. They are just channel that "crazy" through more accepted mediums... But this is 2013... social media era... it's a new platform...but the same old shticks...

This is basically how society and the entertainment industry is
