Welcome to Pokemafia 2.0! The revamped, updated, and hopefully, more enjoyable sequel to our first version hosted last year. You and your Pokemon will traverse the 6 regions of the world, meeting fellow trainers along the way. While many of these trainers are genuinely good, don’t let your guard down. Evil lies just around the corner. Put your trust in no one, they may be your next enemy. The trainers must band together and fight off the Evil Team Leaders, and their goal of world domination. The Evil Leaders must eradicate the trainers, and rule the world together. And there are also those who want neither...

Basic Info:

Disclaimer: This game is based on Pokemon. While Pokemon knowledge is not necessary to enjoy the game, a working knowledge of the game will prove advantageous in the end.

Disclaimer 2: IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE MAFIA GAME SCENE, THIS MAY NOT BE THE APPROPRIATE GAME FOR YOU. THERE ARE LOTS AND LOTS OF ELEMENTS TO THIS. LOTS. A LOT I’M TELLING YOU.

Houses: 6 Houses, 6 Players each:  Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos

Pokemon: Each trainer comes with their own Pokemon. The Pokemon you receive is tied with your ability. There also may be some little tricks that are based on your pokemon within the game~

Items: Items are given out to the winners of Bonus Phases. There are other ways to gain items too however, but what are they?

Phases:

• Day Phase: Day Phases will normally last 60 minutes, but ultimately the GM’s will provide the time deadline. During Day Phase, you are expected to discuss within the thread and your house PM on who to lynch. Players with abilities are EXPECTED TO USE THEM.

• Night Phase: Night Phases will normally last 30 minutes, but ultimately the GM’s will provide the time deadline. During Night Phase, you are expected to USE YOUR ABILITIES if applicable. The Evils are also expected to come to a consensus on who their night kill is.

• Bonus Phase: Bonus Phases will always follow the Day Phase. The time until a bonus phase will be announced in the thread, giving ample time for players to prepare. Bonus Phases will last until the first person gets the correct answer

​Voting​:

• When majority is reached, the day phase will end and the player may possibly be lynched.
• By the end of day phase, the player with the most votes will possibly be killed.
• When there is a tie or no votes have been cast by the end of the day phase, Arceus, in all it's might will decide by it's godly will, who shall perish...randomly.

Participation:

Activity: Active or Inactive... the greatest debate in forum games. Activity does not only consist of posting, but also conversing within your house/evil PM, and using your ability as well. Inactive people will be forcibly mod killed and replaced with people on the waiting list (if there are any). Otherwise a random player already dead will take their place.

Absences: If you will be absent for an extended period of time, please let both your house and the thread know, so no accusations of inactivity will be made.

Death: Once you die, you had better damn well hope you got all the information you wanted to tell your teammates out, cause none of it is leaving your mind once you die. When you die, you can still make small comments on the game, but they BETTER NOT BE INFLUENTIAL. Admin Dave Unnie will personally take care of such violators. Use /dead <dead> /d or some other form of distinguishing you have died.

Spectators: All spectators are welcome, just please don’t make any influencing comments. Use /np /Not playing /no play or some other form of distinguishing you are simply a spectator.

Quitting: If you absolutely must quit the game, then PM your GM and arrangements will be made.

Every Player must have a Trainer Card. To make one, follow this guide below. Please have a final copy of your trainer card by the time of the game start. Please do not change your card after the start of the game.

*New Element* Experience:

Everyone starts at Level 1 with 0 experience

Bonus Round winners will gain some EXP

Win a Gym Battle, gain some EXP

Every “level up†gives some sort of benefit, whether it be higher accuracy, more uses of abilities, extra abilities, etc. You WANT to level up.

Level 1: Start

Level 2: 0/20 exp

Level 3 - 0/50 exp

Amount of EXP gained may change as the game progresses

There is an incentive to vote.

Bandwagoning may not be the best idea.

 

Your Role OP will be updated with your new level’s ability once you have leveled up

 

GMs will try to keep track and update the first post in your Role PM. If Gms do not, please state that you should get exp.

 

 

More Rules:

 

While your success rate may just say 100%, there are ways for that to be reduced.

No outside communication with players who are not in your house. This means other threads, private PM’s, Skype, IRC, etc. unless told otherwise.

Good plays for Good side, Evil plays for Evil side, Neutral plays for themselves. NO EXCEPTIONS

NO SCREENSHOTS. AT ALL. OF ANYTHING. If you want to declare something, you must type it out.

Prize Pool is distributed between the SURVIVING members of the winning side.
