I am! Its really starting to pick up. This weeks episode was my favorite of the season so far.

Yeah, I had no idea what was going on, I was confused the entire time. It was like they threw random things out and tried to connect them. And that speech was lolz like he was trying to tell him the birds and the bees wolf edition haha.

 

Wow that's a lot of people to leave in such a short time, but it's good that he has work lined up. I couldn't imagine what it must be to play a teenager at his and Reed's age. Is it still unclear why Colton left? I remember hearing it was because he appeared in Leona Lewis' MV. lol

Colton's a main supporting character on Arrow now. The show's story had to take a really big turn with that since he was supposed to be in Malia's shoes this season. 

 

Hmm I wonder if they'll go through with the whole live action "Young Justice" show. I wouldn't mind them being on that even though I don't want the live action to be made haha.

Have you heard of kasarinchu? I randomly downloaded their new single on jmp3 and it made me think of you so I came here to post even though I'm supposed to be on "hiatus." They kind of remind me of kobukuro, but they're under SMEJ so you cant see much of their vids unless you have a proxy/vpn. But here's one of their earlier vids.

No, I hadn't actually.  The vocalist reminds me of a mix of Kobukuro and Motohiro Hata, with music reminiscent of the latter plus Yoshida Yamada.  I think I'll take a download of their most recent single myself, since I've a feeling that I'll like it.  Thanks for the recommendation (and for taking the time out of your hiatus to make it)!

 

I went ahead and downloaded some of their older material and I swear in some songs it was like listening to the love child of Motoo and Noda. :lol:  I really want to find their older albums though before they signed to sony because apparently they released two 20 track albums. But I really like the sound, it's really laid back and kind of folksy with a slight reggae feel. They've also done music witht Kotaro Oshio, Kimaguren and Rake.

 

Do you know the kobukuro song that had a kind of Celtic sound? I remember really liking it but I never downloaded it. I know it was a recent too.

Ah, that's the lead (and final) track off their most recent album, "Ima, Sakihokoru Hana-tachi yo".  Album title was "One Song From Two Hearts", but they also had a single titled that, so you might want to check the file-size if you're looking to download the whole thing and not just the song's PV (which is also out there).

 

As to your earlier statement, that's a very intriguing comparison, one that I intend to spend some time exploring myself.  I'll see what I can do about finding the earlier albums (if you happen to have titles, that would help a lot) and if I do, I'll pass them your way.   :)

Thanks! This is really really nice. I like the vocalist and he does remind me a bit of someone else and I'm not sure who. The second song does remind me a bit of Days by FLOW. I really like their sound though. It's a little unconventional, but it definitely works.

Yeah - it's vexing me that I can't remember who the other person in his voice is.  Since it's distinct, but a name is escaping me...  But yeah, their sounds a little off-kilter, but I like it, particularly the groovy bent that "Spider" takes.  Glad you like them.

 

Yeah I really liked the sound of "Spider." It had a nice groovy and funky feel to it which is something I really like. I will definitely be keeping track of them from now on out.

Any fans of AAA, Deep, and a few other groups might like this new unit WHITE JAM. Their made up of a female vocalist, a male vocalist and a male rapper. The lead vocalist Shirose has written quite a few songs for other acts. I'm not sure what to call their music though. Lead singer would probably be better off solo.

Hey guys, I hope you can help me.

I've bought a Japanese album and there is also a disc with music videos, but it doesn't work on my PC (I'm from Germany) Do you know which program I need to watch it? (I only have a VLC media player)  :unsure: 

 

DVDs often have region codes so if your lap top is from a different region then it won't play the disc unless you change your systems DVD region. I for example have a macbook and it lets me change the region code up to 5 times before remaining in the last region code I changed it to. But then again if you're from Germany it should work since Europe and Japan are both Region 2. Is your laptop a German one?

A belated happy birthday!  That's been me with the 80s today - I've been flipping between Yamashita Tatsuro, Kazumasa Oda, Takeuchi Mariya and the like for most of the day.

 

Thanks! I don't know what it is about lazy days like today, but older music is just so soothing. I was going through an 80's phase the other week listening to Kaori Kawamura and Chage & Aska to name a few.

The rain was really random like it was 100 degrees most of the week and then it was 80 degress yesterday and a random thunderstorm. Today's about the same although a little cooler.

 

I feel the same way everyone is out having fun and relaxing and I'm here finishing up some school stuff, preparing to move and  looking for jobs. I need a break.

It rained a lot at the beginning of the summer here. Havent seen it in awhile... My whole summer has been me listening to old school R&B tunes with some Spice Girls mixed in.  :lol: Been stuck on the Bee Gees lately.loool

It was raining a bunch last week up here, but now it's back to being really hot and humid. The rain doesn't seem to want to stick around for very long.

I kinda feel the same as you though. Summer rainstorms make me really nostalgic for some reason. I don't know what it is exactly.

 

Sumer rain and sometimes the end of summer makes me nostalgic. Like there is something about the transition from late summer to early fall that brings back all these memories and older songs just seem to fit that mood I guess.

Yeah some parts of SoCal got some slight rain others got some pretty heavy rain. Here it was moderate, but a neighborhood close to mines did get flooded. I want to move somewhere in NorCal where they get some decent rain.
