Eh, it's okay. Any idea when the PV or preview will be out?

Someone showed me a staff blog(?) entry and asked me to translate it. She's currently looking at demos and recording.

He's the actor of the group (he's pretty decent, too) and the one I think is the most charismatic.

UVER's radio rips usually show up a couple of weeks before the single releases - in most cases pretty darn early, so I'd expect that around early June and the PV preview a bit later.  Also, since I didn't say it before - yes to a new Zelda!  Here's hoping it's darker (darker like Majora's Mask, not like Twilight Princess).

I saw a picture of her smiling recently, but it looked so forced. Like someone was holding a gun to her head and making her do it.

We'll see...I hope they get rid of the hour long tutorials, too. The one in SS was so unnecessary.
I think Nintendo is skipping the press conference again this year for another Nintendo Direct. Not sure how I feel about that.

They're all close to my brother's ages, so it's too weird for me to look at them that way.

I prefer Ryuji. :D (Or just Sandaime in general.)

They're doing a Direct+ kind of thing - they're calling it a "Digital Event".  Supposedly a lot of content with game makers and a pretty good amount of game previews.  I'm interested to see how it'll play out.

HELLLOOOOOO :ahmagah:

Yes, sir!  :ahmagah:

AGREED

I love TP, but it was so hard to see things sometimes lmfao

i hope they remake Majora's Mask. i really really want to play it

Was more referring to darkness in plot/characterization/world, not in terms of lighting.  I prefer the natural progression to darker themes in Majora's Mask to the ... kind of grimdark approach that Twilight Princess took.  Just came off as forced to me.

Oh, that sounds good. I'll try to catch as much of it as I can. Not sure if I'll be at work or not when they start it.

And I agree. While I enjoyed it, TP is pretty tame and safe in it's storytelling. MM had some of Nintendo's best writing for a Zelda game ever. I'm surprised that they haven't attempted another game with the same tone, given all the praise it got.

1up wrote a great article on why the game is regarded as one of Nintendo's darkest games. When you read it, you realize that TP is dark only in art style. There are dark moments in other games, but MM overall is unlike anything Nintendo has ever done.

I can give kind of an idea.  I've a feeling it has to do with the fact that it would be very ... difficult to get a game like Majora rated E in this day and age, and aiming for a T (or even an M, given how some of Majora really is >.>) rating would split off a decent amount of the fanbase since they "wouldn't be able to play it".  I know Twilight Princess was rated T, but ... I still feel there's just a certain degree of worry with penning a game that's ACTUALLY dark rather than just seeming to be.  Still, I hope they'll eventually be willing to take the risk anyway, since I'd love to play another game with that kind of atmosphere and sharp writing.

I hope this year's E3 thread will be as fun as last year's. I think i posted 100 times in one day last year in it

Plus the back and forth with the xbox fanboy was fun hehe.

I remember that!  :P  Maybe I'll try and participate more this year, since I'll probably be around all day for the E3 stuff.

That's happened to me before. Usually when I'm really tired from the day before and I had been sleeping heavily.

June 4th is the day everyone in J-pop decided to release something, it seems like.

Yep - it's by far the most crowded release day thus far this year, and for pretty much no reason at all.  June isn't even a busy month usually, but I guess people just liked the date.

I watched Giant Bomb's Quick Look of it. The entire game seems so well-thought out and there's a lot of attention to detail. I will be buying this when I can. And I agree with you on the soundtrack. Is it out for purchase or have people been ripping it from the game?

The game is incredible - just so well presented and put-together.  The soundtrack is available digitally for $9.99 (in a bundle with the game for 28.98) or physically (with a digital code) for $14.99.  Honestly, it's good enough to stand on its own as an album, which is a rarity for a game OST.

New Perfume single....I hope the song doesn't disappoint because I like the promo photo.

@Ryu I caved in and bought Transistor off of Steam this morning. It'll be waiting for me when I get home. I can't wait to play it. I was listening to the soundtrack for the rest of the night last night.

Hehe.  Good, isn't it?  Supergiant are honestly one of the only studios who I'd actually purchase a game Day 1 from, since I just really like their approach to game development and the type of games they make.  They're 2-0 with Bastion and Transistor and I couldn't be happier about that fact.

Does anyone know if aiko performing this song this week?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3KSNPILpzM

We still don't know what the title of that song is, so if it's the album's promo track, "Ashita no Uta", then yes (which it could be).  Otherwise, no idea.

I'm going to start making up the E3 thread. To anybody who is going to participate in the discussion/streams, are there any links that absolutely have to be there, do you think? (Besides the obvious links to the streams. :P)

Eek. He sounds really persistent.  :._.: Don't give up! Be firm with him.

Probably a link to the Big 3's youtube channels, since that's where trailers and dev interviews and such will end up, particularly in the case of Nintendo.

Sailor Moon, Aldnoah.Zero, Tokyo Ghouls, Zankyou no Terror, and add this new retelling of Psycho Pass.

That's pretty close to what I'll be looking into, nonce Sailor Moon and adding Space Dandy (I've already seen Psycho Pass, but might watch the retelling since it has new material).

what are you watching from this season?

Well, Mushishi is split-cour so it'll be going on break during the Summer (like Space Dandy did this season), I'll be sticking with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and Isshukan Friends and Ping Pong are only one cour.  I've been debating trying to catch up with Captain Earth or Sidonia no Kishi, since I really do like sci-fi shows, but I haven't seen many thrilled opinions from either camp.

I totally expected you to like ping pong.

and what?  There is NO CONTEST.  Sidonia no Kishi is one of the best animes in this season.  I haven't even heard ppl getting hyped off captain earth.

Heh.  I appreciate Ping Pong since it's a sports show unlike most other sports shows, even though the animation style isn't my favorite (it DOES fit though).  As to Sidonia, most of the people I know have told me that there's really two sides to the show:  I've heard it's amazing when it looks at the big picture/the larger perspective of things, but it comes off as kind of wooden in the extremely zoomed-in personal situations (character interactions seeming kind of hollow).  Still, between the two, I'm way more likely to catch up with Sidonia than Captain Earth (I tried an episode of each earlier, but had to stop watching due to lack of time, which I've now gained back).

I disagree that the character interactions are wooden.  The "stranded on an island" episode was one of the best in the whole series.

I'm kind of surprised about one week friends tho. i dislike isshuukan friends because it doesn't seem to push any boundaries while having a pathetic main character that hurts people close to him while trying to catch fujimiya's attention.  Even constantly being outshone by his best friend....

It's the bottom rung show this season for me - I'm mostly sticking with One Week Friends since I keep waiting for it to become something it's probably not going to be (I haven't read the source material, so I went into it blind).  Still, I've made it this far, so I kind of feel obligated to finish it and see how they try to bring the cour to some degree of closure.

Mmm.  Chances are I will give Sidonia a more proper look at some point to form my own opinion of it, since while hearsay can guide, it's no substitute for that.  I'll comment more on that once I've had a chance to do so.

@Ryu @Hemlock Giant Bomb has their yearly E3 podcasts up. I really recommend listening to them. Great discussion on the press conferences and overall show with fun guests from all parts of the gaming industry.

I'll take a look, since Giant Bomb usually has pretty solid content on the whole.

Really? Ryu and I were pleasantly surprised by it.

I like it, but I wasnt blown away. Maybe it will hit me later...

What really gets me about Nijyukyusai is how they managed to pack a very decent amount of variation into each of the 16 tracks, while still making the album flow as a whole.  With an album that long, it's incredibly easy to screw that up (especially when one of the songs is 10 minutes long on its own), so the fact that they managed it is impressive in and of itself.  Still, different strokes for different folks, as they say.  I really like (good) long albums, since there's almost an inherent risk taken in making them.

Miliyah Kato and Nakasone Izumi from HY to collab on a new song. No title or details revealed for it yet, but it'll go on air on 7/14.

source: http://mdpr.jp/music/detail/1377274

The year of collabs continues~

I'll actually look forward to this, since Izumi has a great voice and will probably mesh well with Miliyah.

I just hope it's a better song than Fighters was. I didn't care for it at all.

I'm interested in if Izumi will be involved in composition, since if so, that might help a bit.  If she is, I either expect a piano ballad or something subtly electronic, given that those are the type of songs she usually composes in HY. (I doubt Okinawan pop will show up in this collaboration, so not much point in mentioning those credits.)
