Does anyone here listen to base ball bear? They are probably my favourite discoveries this year. Their standouts songs like yoakemae and Sorette for Dare? Part 1 are just the type of pick-me-up whenever I'm in a sour/bad mood. It's a shame they are on hiatus, they're a really high-calibre band.

Base Ball Bear actually have a new EP coming in January:  https://rockinon.com/news/detail/181536

Plus their singer released his first solo album a couple of weeks back - found the lead song to be pretty enjoyable.

why.... is he like this......

He’s always been like that. Almost all old Visual Keis/Rock sounding artists are a bit perv or outspoken with their sexual tendencies.

How have I never heard of this band before lol

I’ve posted about this group once in the music section.

My favorite:

0u0plz.png  at the toi et moi and something about the kiss performances but fucking rlytearpls.png at the a walk in the park and concentration 20 performance

One of my favorite things in Japan was going to tiny gay bars and shocking them with the fact that I knew TK, leading to a TK binge.

Base Ball Bear are my favorite band! I got into from people posting a bunch of their bsides on yt back in the day.lol Like others have said they are releasing a new EP in January~ They have been doing a bunch of touring since they released the "Kougen" album last year so that's why they have been kind of "quiet'. (Which is an awesome album and you should check it out if you haven't already.)

It looks like Avex is taking advantage of Youtube Premium, now that it's been implemented in Japan.

They uploaded a bunch of full MVs that previously only had a short version on their channel, or like it wasn't the "completely full version" because some of the differences is only like a couple of seconds unimpressed.png . The full MVs are only available to people that have Youtube Premium or Youtube Music Premium I guess.

but it includes stuff like EXILE TRIBE and Wagakki Band. I imagine they're going to continue to upload more of them in the future.

THE CROSSOVER I DID NOT EXPECT.

Dto5EHPV4AEDxJf.jpg

Releasing December 26th

Tracklist:

1. Hologram

Key: Because of this song I was able to come up with the overall concept of the album [defined by] old school, retro, 90’s [genre].
2. Why Are You Here (feat. CoCo)
A duet with lyrics that express the misgivings/misunderstandings of love between a man and a woman
3. POWER
Written and composed by Testuya from L'Arc-en-Ciel. A combination of 90s and modern times that can be described as Hybrid Rock Groove
4. City Girl
A song about the heart fluttering feelings of being in love from a “City Boy’s†POV
5. Gunjou no Yoru (An ultramarine night) ~One of Those Nights (Japanese Version)~
(t/n: â€œa deep blue night†would also work as a translation)

I didn't LOVE it but it wasnt bad at all. Way better than I would have expected from Kyary

I remember hearing it before and liking it but then forgetting about it but now I heard it and was very pleasantly surprised. It's probably my favourite Nakata song of the year and more or less the only Kyary song I've enjoyed in the last 3-4 years.

I just stumbled across this song and it's surprisingly great

i would LOVE to see this become the norm with her, and have her step her game continuously from now on. it's been a while since i felt like anyone really believed she could exceed expectations... i'd love for her to prove us all wrong :)

I think this is Nakata's best work of the year for me
