That's good to know. I have Netflix and I'm not about to give it up if I decide I don't want to pay the online fee for a few months or something.

 

Now you have to wonder what Microsoft will do now. Will they lower the price? Get rid of the restrictive DRM?

there's that one person in the E3 thread that was defending microsoft the whole time saying that microsoft can just get rid of the drm and they would win. But i'm not so sure that they can just do that. Software-wise yes they can just turn it off. But the time to change their mind was before they announced it in detail. People have already chosen sides i think and it's too late.

 

I really see no reason to get an xbox over a ps4.

You're right in saying the damage is already done. Microsoft blew it the moment they kept insisting on their DRM policies and internet requirements. It's kind of hard to go back now and say "Oops, we didn't mean it.". They'd get a few people back on their side, but not many.

I think the PS4 sold me. I felt weird not having it last gen after having the ps1 and ps2. Kinda want the Wii U too but don't know if i could afford it or be bothered to hook up two consoles.

Sony did a really good job of convincing me to want a system that I hadn't even thought of wanting until last night.  It's just the games (I'll even admit to being interested in The Order, when I'm not a shooter person), the lack of binding DRM, the price, and most of all the attitude, which is a major improvement from the PS3 era (where I criticized them a lot).  For the first time in a long time, I actually believe that they genuinely want to please their customers, and I can definitely get behind that.  Plus, I'll admit that I enjoy the snark directed at Microsoft, who deserve every hit they're taking.

That would shatter your image of me as a wise old man, and I couldn't possibly do that.  :P  In all seriousness though, I tend not to continue arguments with people who directly insult me (or rather, I try not to).  At that point I'd rather walk away and leave the fact that they were the one to open their mouth like that as the last thing said.  Also, having looked through his posts, it's not like what I said would've gotten through anyway.  If he has no problem with Microsoft's DRM, then saying why their DRM violates my ideals and why I think it's a bad thing for the industry won't help.  You did a good job of trying though.

... Right.  Yeah, that's the vibe that I was getting from what he was saying as well.  I also didn't understand much anyone that said that Microsoft had the better game line-up, but I guess that that just comes down to opinion.  When it comes to me, I'm ... fairly tired of shooters xD

I didn't play the games with Zero, but my younger sister and brothers did. I think they were secretly hoping for Zero, too. xD

 

I'm okay with it just being Megaman <3 That style of him sure brings back memories. If Zelda/Shiek isn't revealed to be in it later, I'll be a little upset. That's the character I'm really good at

Me, too. At least right away. I'll get a Wii U next year or the year after when the new Zelda comes out. I also want to get a 3DS sometime in the near future. There's a bunch of games coming out for that that I want to try.
