I feel this side is a little more mature in that there's less personal attacks, but it seems to go that way in idol v artist thread with someone eventually insulting DocumentaLy personally  :lol:. Otherwise pretty civil I think there are some good debated rather than you're stupid and everything you say is invalid. Reminds me of jpopcentral haha

 

OT LALALA: OH MY GOSH! I started watching Teen Wolf and I finished Season 1 in 3 days. I have never done that before. I am totally hooked. My friend is probably going to be mad that I continued watching it without her, but I dont even care right now. When I first started watching it, I thought it was going to be one of those shows that you love to make fun of. Scott was so embarrassing at first. ("My mom buys the groceries" and "I have homework to do" and the classic "ARRRGGHHHHH" lolol) Now, this mess has got me thinking about running to Barnes and Noble to get season 2.

Hmm that's weird I remeber first watching it on Netflix and season 2 on MTV and they had seasons 1 & 2 on netflix not too long ago but things get taken down often so no surprise. Season 3 was weird.

This has turned out to be an absolutely great week for singles - I'm surprised at how much I've picked up and liked in the last 24 hours.

 

What has been your favorite single and album thus far this month?

Albums, nothing really yet this month (that'll change in a big way next week, as there are 3-4 acts releasing studio albums that I'm interested in already).  As to Singles ... I'd give my favorite to Douchin Yoshikuni's "Samenagara Miru Yume", which as a whole is just beautifully composed and the songs compliment each other wonderfully.  If he's going to keep producing material that heads further in this vein, I wouldn't mind him remaining solo a while longer.  Runner-up for that spot is USAGI's "Hello / USAGI ~Fumaina Story~", which is also very good.  Other notables are Superfly's "Live" and Creephyp's Neguse".

The B-side ("Merry-go-Round Wonderland") is really nice as well - it's whimsical in a kind of subdued way, which makes it pretty unique, all things considered.  But yeah, there were a lot of good singles that released this week.  

 

I haven't been able to find the single, but I did give Usagi ~Fumaina Story~ a listen and like that too. I think it's time I get some random downloads of some artist, especially these cause they are great.

As soon as PMs are back up, I can help you with that.  Yeah - every once and a while it's nice just to try something from an artist you've loosely heard about but never actually listened to.  For example, I just listened to my first Mariya Takeuchi album today - it fits right in with my old-school taste.  :P

I only got to watch like 1/3 of the movie online, but it was such bad quality I stopped. I want to watch it in theater, but the one by my school is weird.

lol I've learned that parrots are moody, they have their good days and bad, there are some when I think mine is evil too, he wants nothing to do with me and he'll try to bite for no reason.  Others he'll come to me by himself and cuddles and won;t leave me alone.

I'm no fan of AKB, but there's really no point in that article. The girls were attacked by a guy who wasn't a fan of them. He targeted them because attacking them would get him the attention he wanted. The real discussion is why the hell wasn't there tighter security there. The incident had nothing to do with their image or fanbase or whatever.

And just to be fair, those of you who aren't fans of idols dismiss things just as quickly as idol fans do. Neither side really listens to the other (hence why threads go on for pages and get locked in the end).

 

No, I definitely try to understand both sides when it comes to arguments. I think the article raised some points, but did overreach in some parts. I can see how it may be annoying with people bringing up the sexual aspects, but then when you have a video like heavy rotation out there then it's probably going to come up. Also the part about the girl being forced to shave her head, I didn't look too much into that when it happened, but fans said she choose to do it herself and I'll believe them on that.  So it didn't necessarily check everything correctly, but I do agree with how their system could possibly lead to some kind of misogynistic views. I feel like that might be coming more off of the recent UCSB incident than this though. Japan's society is structured a bit differently than America's so there is some ambiguity for some of what is considered normal, acceptable, and unacceptable.  

 

And in the thread about the some posted that the security shouldn't be the focus, but the man himself. I think there's a lot that comes into play though. Security definitely should have been stronger than it was, and I wonder if he felt that because of their handshake events they would be easier targets in addition to their popularity. And if he has any mental illness. I feel like people tend to brush off mental illnesses in situations like this. I think people should be able to get help on all ends to prevent things like this from happening.

 

I commend Japan and different companies that shutdown events for awhile they seem to take this more seriously than America no matter how many people get murdered.

ugh what a way to ruin a day.

 

I went back to the store after doing some work at home, my I see my dad talking to this guy who used to come to our store everyday when we first bought it, to buy a pack of smokes and coke.  He seemed to be on good terms with the old owner as well.  He claimed he worked in the mall, which made sense considering how many times we'd see him.  So one day he came and said he needed smokes for himself and his manager (both were expensive brands).  He took out his debit and tried to pay but it didn't approve  so he said he'd be back to pay later because he'd get his money from the manager, took the smokes and left, which is something we allow for people we do know well.  He never showed his face again until to day, like 8 months later.

 

I saw him I assumed he was giving my dad money for what he owed since i thought my dad already knew him and they were having a whole friendly conversation in my language, but my dad ended up distracting me with something else he did wrong and I had to fix, he took that opportunity while we didn't notice to walk out with another pack of smokes.  My sister said that while we were distracted he basically said  "OK uncle I'm going out to smoke I'll come back in and pay after" to make it seem like he knew us well enough and not arouse suspicion and walked off.  we looked all around and couldn't find him.  It was at the end of the day we were close to closing I was pissed and I didn't even think to call security.  (Not that those assholes ever do something).  My dad said he didn't even know he or remember him, or that he had already taken two packs, he was busy feeding him some bs story about his dad dying and calling someone else who owns a store in the mall that we do happen to know well to come and pay for him.

 

If I see his face again I will fuck his life up I swear.

Internet is so slow here in canada it seems. Maybe it's just my hotels.

Niagra falls was gorgeous. The town itself is janky, but I did win a little at the casino.
Cn tower is wonderful, but dang there is a ton of construction going on.

Got one more day, not sure what to do.

 

Isn't there like bandwidth allocation in Canada? You can't go over a certain monthly limit and such, so I'd imagine some speeds may not be the best for visitors. But I hope your trip has been great overall. I'm looking to visiting Toronto soon.
