I have been addicted to DA PUMP lately.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V08SE2MKZKs

1997 to 2004 era of DA PUMP... that is.

This Yaguchi affair stuff is crazy. People airing out other people's dirty laundry and shiz. SMH

If I was in Nakamura's shoes, there would be no way I would have kept quiet about it. She must know a dirty secret or two about him...

DA PUMP is good, but they mostly just do choreography now. Kenzo is Namie and Fairies' current choreographer. :ahmagah:

Where are you guys following your E3 news? I would watch x-play, but the show is gone now =(

__

Also, any recommendations on songs that sound like this? A friend of mine wanted some songs like that sound similar.

Giant Bomb is the site I consider the best, mostly because it's really informal and personal for them. They get lots of great in-depth talks with developers and other press after hours, and they're incredibly honest with how they feel on the news coming out. The only thing is, they're not as quick with trailers and other things because they're off talking to those types of people.  If you just want news and trailers, one of the sites Ryu suggested might work better.

Tell your friend to check out GENERATIONS (GENE for short). That might be close to the type of music they're looking for.

The Escapist is actually known for being kind of similar.  They are mainly a news site, but all of their features involve the writers being very honest on what they think of things, though some times it's more bombastic than others.  Destructoid is good mainly due to being quick yet not in the industry's pocket.

i like watching Invisible Walls on Gametrailers every week. They go in depth and have fun debates to listen to. One of the regulars doesn't actually work for GT so he can say anything that he wants and be honest. I like how they have kind of a specialist for each type of genre to talk about the games after release. Like they have a driving game specialist, a fighting game one, rpg one.

Not E3 related but RpgFan's podcasts are nice to listen to also.

if it's just news, i check siliconera and gematsu daily because they're better for japanese game news. Gematsu does western game news also. Gematsu is usually great for conferences and events.

Which version of Konya wa Boogie Back is your favorite?

You know, I was actually going to make a thread about that a while back but never did.

How many people have covered it?

Miliyah

Shota

Kreva

Halcali

Daesung

Who else?

You should make that thread.

Not gonna lie, my partners ratings broke my heart a bit lmao

Not to be rude but I didn't expect someone who gave me such a standard KPop list to enjoy things such as:

1/10

3/10

The songs that were liked were expected:

8/10

9/10

I shall do my reviews tonight. I don't even really need to listen to the songs since they are so standard that I've listen to most of them quite a bit over the past few years.

i just hope my list gets reviewed since my partner for the last one didn't do it. I ended up just putting the couple japanese songs in there for this current list.

Who was your partner? I'm over people signing up and not following through so they will be blacklisted. There are people who want in one these things and they're just taking up space.

my partner was ChYkN.

I'm not sure but i think a handful of people didn't do their reviews. That's what it seemed like.

Perfume has been invited to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, an exhibition showcasing the best in advertising that is held in Cannes, France. They will be welcomed as the first Japanese artist to attend as guests.

The “Cannes Lions†is one of the three most major awards to be bestowed in the world, alongside “The One Showâ€, and the “Clio Awardsâ€. It is also an prestigious celebration, approaching their 60th anniversary this year. Until 2010 it was called the “Cannes International Advertising Festivalâ€, but since 2011 it was renamed to better emulate festivals that cater to a wider range of communications.

At the festival’s largest seminar on June 20, the person responsible for a number of Perfume’s projects, Daito Manabe will showcase such things like the site used in their global expansion, “Perfume official global websiteâ€, and how holographic lives (Kirin Hyouketsu Presents “SUMMER NIGHTâ€) are produced, and keeping in with the theme, creators from all around the world will participate, talking about the “advanced fusion†of Japanese entertainment and digital art. Perfume will be expected to be present on stage, and it seems we can also expect a surprise.

Lions Live will be live streaming, through Mindshare and Youtube, one seminar session per day. Which session is broadcasted, is decided though polls!

VOTE HERE

To vote for Daito Manabe and Perfume, simply click on the link above and follow the steps below:

Scroll down to Thursday, June 20[select “Dentsu: Happy Hacking: Redefining the Co-creation Frontier†and click vote

Voting is limited to once a day per person. Voting is now open and will close on 7 June at 00:00 BST. Lions Live will then stream one session

live each day from Sunday 16 June to Saturday 22 June. The selected sessions will be announced on the Cannes Lions website and YouTube Channel on 10 June.

What’s more, a new project geared towards the world will be unveiled on the global site for this festival. Because this announcement will feature a countdown, let’s keep an eye on it and see what happens when it reaches zero.

Also, Perfume’s live performance in London will be broadcasted back to Japan live across cinemas domestically. Because tickets to the original venue, O2 Academy Islington sold out immediately, organisers had to change venue to O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, a place that has been well established to accommodate double the capacity. Last November an estimated 28 000 people turned out to view the Singapore live in Japanese cinemas, and this time it looks like cinemas across the country are going to be packed.

Looks interesting, i didn't know they were invited  :stare:
