I like that there isn't much conflict between kpop and jpop as there used to be, but it kind of sucks that a lot of kpop fans say it's because Japanese people are being racist and they are all barred from tv, but oh well. It's probably best not to get into that

That reminds me of when 2PM was about to debut and all their fans kept saying they were gonna be super successful because they had a sexy and muscular image no males in Japan had. :lol:  And a lot of J-music fans were just like uh, no and kept bringing up Exile.

A lot of it is ignorance. It's a one-sided thing with a lot of KPop fans because they don't know Japanese music but a lot of JPop fans can see both sides because they're into both scenes.

 

 

Basically. It is really interesting to see people post Kpop in this thread and be 1000 times more civil about it than when I browse th k-side.

EDIT: Out of curiosity does anyone here know THYME? They were a short live band, but had some good songs.

Yeah I had to resize my sig because it was too long and I don't have the patience to splice images or gifs in half so my sig can appear bigger

Even though the song grew on me this song was such a disappointment.

 

Has anyone heard any of the new b-sides is the single worth listening to? I know there's different versions and one b-side is just his digital single.

 

I'm in the same boat as IceHism 2014 has been lackluster for me so for except for Loveland, but it's starting to wear on me.

The other B-side is ok, nothing too special. 

Well that's disappointing. I'll give it a listen eventually. My next listen will have to be the Miliyah x Shota best.

 

 

I don't know if it's just me but I'm starting to feel Kyary is really declining now. Her music has been going downhill fast since Ninjari (which was great IMO). Yume No Hajima Ring Ring flopped a bit and Family Party isn't sounding much better so I'm curious to see how her next album will end up doing.

 

You're not alone. I don't listen to her, but I've seen a few people on this forum and elsewhere losing interest in her and saying that her overall quality has declined.

It depends a lot on the genres you listen to - it's been a pretty good year for pop-rock/rock thus far.  Not sure if it'll be an amazing one yet only just over 3 months in, but it definitely hasn't been bad.

Yeah, plus I haven't really been trying or looking lately. I'm pretty behind on some things. I have yet to hear the song RAD release in memoriam of the earthquake. I'm downloading some things now to get back on track

I think that has to deal with most of the songs he covers being slow and pretty old. But I wouldn't mind going to a Ken's bar concert those things look fancy as freak. Nice tables, lighting and food. I'd probably fall asleep though

I don't like the hand in general. It just looks like a random amputated hand.

 

And ughh, he actually did 2 Ken's Bar shows in New York in 2010 but I had already booked my trip to Mexico before they were announced.

 

I was focused more on the words and his mouth haha, but now that hand really ruins the cover it just looks so misplaced.

 

That sucks! I hear a lot of close calls like that though. Sometimes the announcements are so late it's hard to plan. Other times j-acts are in the states they're like at anime conventions and I'm not for that.

Yeah I think Utada's was colors and Sakura Drops was 2nd. I don't think Ayu's was dearest, but it was probably close. It would've suck if all their top songs were their tie ins. Their top 10 for Utada was so-so. Judging Simple and Clean in their top 10.

yes he owned it loved it so much! Yea the ending was like ugh....but he was planning the next chapter so oh well. A part 2 would ruin it but it intrigues me a bit to see what would actually happen.

I felt like it could've ended a little sooner and would've been ten times better but the plot to frame the other teacher was a good one. And yeah idk if the girl could pull it off as well as he did or where they would even go with it. I kind of want to read the book it's based on.
