I will assume all video game adaptations will be shitty until they prove to me they can do it. Ace Attorney doesn't count because it's mostly narrative/dialogue driven anyway.

It does too count! The visual aspect could've gone terribly wrong, but they got that (mostly) right, too.

Depends on if they're going to just make it a mini series or a full one with multiple seasons. They're going to have to get a writer who is a fan otherwise they're just going to add/cut whatever from the story. D:

lol yes it counts but the transition from that series to a movie is much easier than a more traditional game. Plus is Link going to be mute or talk. If he's going to be a silent protagonist it'll be weird but him talking is also weird haha.

Also i can't help but laugh at “Game of Thrones for a family audience” :lol:

Not sure how that's going to work when the whole point of GoT is it's adult tones.

Eh, they just need to get the right actor to pull it off. I can't think of anyone really famous that would be good for the role, so maybe they should get someone relatively unknown.

Make sure you go to the ranch when you're able to buy the right kind of bomb (powder kegs, I think). You don't want to miss the alien abduction
side quest! And really make use of your bomber's notebook. It'll help you get all the masks and organize your side quests. There's a special powerful mask you get when you collect all of them :3

The game is really dark. I think it was actually rated T instead of E like most Zelda games.

Are you sure you're listening to their current album? o_O Hanadokei isn't bland at all. Their first album kinda is very samey, though.

 

Chiharu is very happy, so I'm okay with her leaving now. She posted a picture of her practicing music and dance recently, so maybe there will be a solo debut in the future. Plus her fashion brand keeps selling fast. She seems to be doing well. :D

Is EXILE really releasing 15 versions of their album?

I've seen most places with 5 versions and others with 10. So who knows.

No, they only have five versions. Amazon and Tower Records are listing out every option (Amazon is including getting it from different sellers as version) as a separate version when in reality, they're all the same 5. If those sites are doing that, that's probably not EXILE's doing because EXILE's website and sellers aside from Amazon and Tower Records only have 5 versions listed.

I'm not the person to ask about the Bloodthirsty Butchers - MoreTokyo is, since as I remember it he's a REALLY big fan of them.  I can see if I can dig up anything about the movie though, since there are a couple sites that sometimes turn up useful things if you delve beneath the surface a tad.  I'll let you know if I come up with anything.  :)

The last album I heard from Namie that I really liked was Past<Future, but I've only heard bits and pieces of her newer albums.

I really need to get into Miliyah but I don't know where to start.

Listen to her older albums and skip her newer ones like LOVELAND. HEAVEN was her last good album and it's kinda been all down from there. (I blame ROMAN for this.....)

My PS3 crashed over the weekend and I found out the only way to restore it was to completely wipe everything and start over. I still have my trophies, friends list, and username since those are connected to PSN, but my game saves..... :cry:

My Ni no Kuni one is the one I'm most upset about. :._.:

I've noticed a bit of growing animosity towards Namie, but a big part of that seems to stem from her fans. For example, I've seen people getting pissed off at the notion that someone singing a song in full English is copying Namie. Like really? Or some fans saying that Namie already did a song like "X" so why is this artist doing it.

 
I think most of those are younger/newer fans because I haven't seen many longtime ones taking that stance. I've blocked most of those people because the attitude they have is irritating. There certainly are some soloists that are adopting her promotional tactics (trying not to over promote themselves and etc), but that's about as far as it goes. There have been songs with lots of English in Japan for a while now, so if they're saying that Namie started that, it must mean they haven't been with the scene for very long.

Yeah. :rlytearpls: I'm thankful for that, at least. I'm not ready to upgrade to a PS4 just yet, so if my PS3 died I'd lose my main gaming console.
 

I feel you pain. I put in near 90 hours into that game and when I tried to finish up the remaining after game stuff it died on me  :rlytearpls:
Now I have to do everything all over on my new PS3.
 
Yeah I will say that it is possible that people look to her for inspiration, but some of the claims I've seen are kind of ridiculous and you do kind of have to ignore them because it will irritate you. It probably is younger/newer fans and people just looking to stir the pot which is pretty petty. Don't get me wrong I like discussions about soloist, but only when it's serious and not just to fuel these unnecessary fan wars.

I had just gotten a Toko, too. :rlytearpls: They're hard to find and make your familiars, but it's worth it for their high magic defense and even higher evasion stats. I think it gets up to 700+? Magic Defense is something like 450.



I'm using a guide the second time around. There's no way I'm going to go through it again without help.

People like to stir the pot whether it's a group or a soloist (I don't ever hear that kind of thing going on with bands), but I agree that you just need to ignore them. It doesn't really bring anything to a conversation, whether that conversation is just casual or it's about constructive criticism. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to ignore those types and I have taken the bait and jumped in where maybe I shouldn't have. But I've gotten better at ignoring it over the years.

There's one or two albums that really take me by surprise during the year and it looks like this is going to be one of them. The album sounds like a refined version of what Kumi's dance songs should be and more mature Shionoya Sayaka-esque pop tunes (their voices sound almost the same). I'm only on Fried Potato, but so far I really like the album.
 

The Perfume live stream was only like 5 minutes because they just showed "STORY (SXSW-MIX)", but oh my gosh it was epic! Now that I think about it, it would have been pretty wrong of them to stream the whole concert since people had to pay $800 to see the concert in person...
 
The song sounds like T-ara's "Sugar Free" which is cool with me because I was/am still obsessed with that song.

YU-A's album was fun for a few days, but it wore off fast for me. Enjoying Kubota's album though. It's nothing amazing, but it's a solid release.

Huh? Namie used live bands until 2010. She stopped using them starting with Live Style 2011 because the stage setups she wanted wouldn't allow for a band.

You think so? I think her recent lives are rather fun to watch actually. She did a good job with the backing tracks from the ones I've seen

I'm not complaining about the quality of her lives. She's really stepped it up these past couple of years. Some of the choreography for FEEL and Live Style is the best she's had in years, her vocals have been (mostly) on point, and she seems like she's genuinely enjoying herself.

I guess it's just a personal preference. I think most things (not just Namie's lives) sound better with a live band. :lol:
