from one of my post in the General Gaming thread from a few days ago:

"I know how that is though. I'm also in the middle of Valkyria Chronicles, Digital Devil Saga 1, Dragon Quest 4, Persona 1, Ni no Kuni, Tales of Xillia 1 lol. And i just started FFX HD today OTL."

I also started Rayman Origins a week or two ago
BUT. I beat To The Moon in almost one sitting yesterday. It's short and only took ~5 hours.

I still haven't played Xillia in English.....the Japanese version is really good, though. I'm surprised they brought out the second one. Those games haven't done all that well in the past. Valkyria Chronicles is amazing. I played that when it was first out. I assume it's the newer version? And Ni No Kuni........I don't want to talk about it.

I should check out PSN sometime this week and see if they have any holiday sales going. I really want to jump into something new, but I'm not sure what yet.

for VC, no i have the ps3 version. I like the art style and that was my main draw towards it but i suck at strategy games. I think i got to chapter 5 or something.

PSN has been doing holiday sales each week so far. The first week of December was better than this week's if i remember correctly. I think Valiant Hearts and Strider are on sale right now. Those are probably the only two notable games on sale until it updates on tuesday.

Suikoden 2 is on PSN as psone classic now. Play that if you haven't already! Amazing game.

I have a tolerance for strategy games if the story is really compelling, and VC's story is just that. I got really attached to those characters (at least the main cast and the ones I used in my squad). The art style was good, too.

Suikoden 2? Is that one of those games people love because of nostalgia or is it genuinely really good? I'd love to start another old-school RPG, but the last time someone told me an old game was good, it ended up being terrible.  :._.:

Bayonetta 2 >>>>>>>>>>> it was way more fun to me XD

But Bayonetta definitely was a lot harder imo. Either way, my goal is to unlock all the costumes now

Don't those all have different powers/abilities, too? They sure put a lot of effort into the game. Most games would just make those cosmetic D:

I DID IT!!! ALL THOSE HOURS SPENT PLAYING THIS DAMN GAME AND NOW I DONT EVEN CARE IF I FINISH IT!!!

I HAVE MET :

maxresdefault.jpg

I am kidding, I am going to finish this damn game if its the last thing I do.

So tempted to start playing Xillia 2, Dragon Age (the first one not Inquistion) and Naruto  (dont judge me, my feels got me to buy this I spent only 5 bucks...) but I still didnt finish Arkham City, Uncharted 2, Final Fantasy 13-2, Final Fantasy X Remaster and some other stuff like PSOne classics.

I told myself I can only start them when I finish Ni No Kuni, but hottie king is tempting me to play

Congrats! Now you only have 30 more hours to go

[spoiler]

100+ hours in and I'm still not done either. When does it end?  But I'm also a completionist, so....

I didn't play it as a kid so i it wasn't nostalgia for me. And who doesn't want to recruit 108 characters to their team and build an army at their castle base! lol.

What old game was it?

Vagrant Story. I couldn't get past the controls, almost zero tutorial, and the slow beginning. I might try to pick it up again when I have more patience, but I cringe every time I think of going to back to it.

Been watching a lot of dramas this season. I wanna check out that N No Tameni drama. Currently watching that one with Ayase. Need to catch up on it. Also loving SAKURA, but only 1 more episode. A couple more episodes left of Mr. Back too.
Everyone seems to love Misaeng, so I might check it out. Not really into corporate dramas but I heard it's worth it.

Favorite drama atm has to be Pinocchio, with sakura 2nd. Pinocchio is probably the best drama of the year for me.

I haven't watched as many Japanese dramas this year as I wanted to :( I've been watching more things that I can stream on Netflix. I ended up catching up on a lot of anime because of it (among other things). I would've probably never watched Psycho Pass or Ghost Hunt had they not been on there. Now if only they would add more Japanese dramas....

All this except the bolded.

I love Pokemon Colosseum tho :3 but yeah, I want an actual hardcore RPG from pokemon :(

That would be nice, but a lot of their target audience is young, so I don't see it happening. Or if they do, I don't think it would be very deep. :(

The coliseum games were fun. I played some of the original ones and had the attachment to import the Pokemon from my cartridge. X3

Beyond swapping graphics engines, making it easier to train for competitive stuff, and some visual and mechanical touches behind the scenes... not much, no. Still the same type of game and not the hardcore RPG I'd want from the series (I know people will quote Colosseum and XD at me, but those weren't really well-written >.>). The sad part is that the world is ripe for that type of story, if you look at the Pokemon Adventure manga. [/ramble]

I always loved starting Pokemon games, but always had trouble bringing myself to finish them for some reason.

Ah, I grew up with those first games, so that's really all I'm familiar with (those and a bunch of the N64 games). I never had any problems finishing them, but I usually didn't make it through a second playthrough. I didn't get into all the spinoffs like Mystery Dungeon and etc.

why are you even posting here anymore, you're an admin...e__e

You two are my favorite OH pairing. :ohla: Edited by Mandilinn

How tall are Ayu, namie and Utada?

Namie is 159cm (or 5'2"). Not sure about the other two.

I detest zombies...including the cute Ni No Kuni kind...

I finished my Pineapple Star Cookies and they look like what they are supposed to look like and taste yummy :ahmagah:

I've never had those, but they sound good. What's in them? :ahmagah:

Never forget: Namie's Revival

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_RbswwsuqM

Eh, I wouldn't call it her revival. More like the single that confirmed she was back on top. Her sales were on the rise long before this release~ Still one of her best non TK singles, though :ahmagah: Edited by Mandilinn

Is she still signed to a label or was she completely dropped?

Reminds me of http://onehallyu.com/topic/125427-jpop-2014-a-year-in-review/

:imstupid:

We were planning to do that as an OPPA subject long before you made your thread, though. :._.:

That "Best R&B Album" winner is the only one I take issue with. LOVELAND belongs under most disappointing rather than a best list and Thelma's album was decent, but it got boring fast. The other winners are okay. AKLO sure took a lot of those awards.

I expected Especia to win at least one idol category, but I forgot how many 48 fans we have on this forum. Edited by Mandilinn
