well no, just use the same one but add/edit as you go in the following sections. Remember, a student resume will look different from a more formal resume (uni student applying for a more serious job...wich i have to make soon ugh). Just change you info a bit to suit the job you're applying for. Centered means center the stuff I typed in the word document lol or you can do:

Name/ Address/ Email/ Phone if you want more room at the top of the page. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS BOLDED AND NOTICEABLE. The categories should be bolded as well. No grammar and spelling errors and make it look appealing (white space use)

http://i.imgur.com/mZpx7uZ.png

here's my blank resume, I erased all of my info and left the headings to give you an idea of what you should include, basically under relevant experience and co curricular activities just write what you did/was apart of and a short 1-2 point form description and in a column on the right side you put from when to when (eg 2009 - 2011), make it short, sweet and to the point since most employers just skim through it

and since you're just beginning don't make it more than 1 page, my resume was 2 pages before and I had to squeeze it down to 2, I remember I met a student who graduated from university and did about 3 co op jobs and an internship along with extra curriculars and what not and when he applied to TD Bank and they said 1 page only, unless you're in academia or much older and experienced, most don't go over 1 page

and no you don't need to make a different resume for every job, but more like slightly tweaked versions for different types of jobs, I have a different resume for when I apply to retail ish jobs and serious jobs, one highlights more of my customer service experience and the other highlights my administrative experience along with education

Same, I suck at getting interviews, I have experience but my people skills are lacking, and it's not that they want high schoolers, just for me it's hard before I'm leaving for school in september and most jobs are looking for permanent people

and I applied to like 3 shoppers ugh, I hate my job but I get paid on Monday so I'll feel a little better

and cashier is easy, try being a cashier in a grocery store where you have to memorize the codes for different brands of rice, veggies, fruits, some seafood and some meat. Took me forever to memorize everything, at least at shoppers it's just scan

and yeah business is a dog eat dog world, you have to stand out, I had my sister write my resume for me since she took a workshop on it and could spit out some really nicely done resumes

pretty much, don't elaborate too much because they probably won't read it, like if you worked as a cashier, they'll probably only skim the part where it says cashier at whatever place you worked at, I remember when I applied to different places a lot of of managers just skimmed it and wrote down short jot notes, I had cashier and administrative assistant down on my resume and they looked and just wrote down "customer service experience" along with what times I said I was available and that was it

and I can't handle a second job haha, 60 hour work week already, and mine is close to home which sucks because its a shithole where I live haha, how much you like your job really depends on the people you work with, people are shitty here while my friend who works at fresh co in some rich area loves it

and I stand 11ish hours a day, amputate my feet already

Shoppers? D: What's that?

It's the biggest chain of drugstores in Canada lol, kinda like CVS or Walgreens for you

on your sample, what is objective and references?

And you have to write the hours you are available on the application itself right?

Then... what is a cover letter?

HOLY SHIT U WORK 60?! DAMN GURL

see, here's the thing. My work is on-call and depends on the week and what events we have so i dont have a set schedule :( hrs are brutal on certain events. i rmber this one week, for 3 days.. 6am-10/11pm

i freaking died.

I LOVE SHOPPERS. I GOT TWILIGHT PRINCESS THERE LMAO

Then... what is a cover letter?

DP srry MOMO

Objective: Interested in obtaining a permanent part-time position as cashier at Shoppers.

References: Basically ppl who the workplace calls up to ask and verify your info. and they ask about your skills and personality/work ethic etc. references should be teachers or previous employers (but not ones where you were fired from lmao) and shuld be told in advanced

usually its:

References (centered and bolded and underlined)

Name of First Ref:

Phone:

Email (optional):

Relationship:

etc.

usually 3 is good. you dont ahve to give it unless asked.

and well, they usually ask. i never write my availability down lol (on resume). applicaion, yes!! make sure u put flexible

Cover Letter...you don't need to do this unless you're applying for a serious job position. it's basically a brief letter explaining why you want the job and you lists your skills and qualifications and why you're perfect for the position.

THIS SPA ATTENDANT POSITION REQUIRES IT BUT IDK IF I SHULD...full-time position. it sounds amazing tbqh :(

THEY WANTED ME TO WORK 72 I SAID NO

12 hours shifts man, I want to die near the end of the day

and what's twilight princess LMAO, and yeah I love them too, I always make a trip there when I go to the mall

objective is like "to find a job where I can apply my skills and help serve customers better" or something like that, why you are looking for a job and what you intend to do,  since mine doesn't really have any personal info in it I'll just give it to you

"To obtain a position where my communication and interpersonal skills will be an asset to the company and increase sales, customer satisfaction, and overall efficiency"

and references is maybe like a high school teacher or previous employer that can be contacted, some employers will look up references to find out your history or if you are as your resume says or anything, don't put down family

and Midna explained pretty well what a cover letter is so I'll leave it at that

Guuuuuuurl. Your turn.

I don't want any preconceived notions about me, so I'll pass.

Who do you not like?

Johnny's gibbons, Hello Project, AKB and its spawn, Vocaloid, One Ok Rock, Golden Bomber, Chara, Visual kei in general, K-pop.

However, I will admit that there are a few enjoyable songs from the filth mentioned above.

Can't believe that Yoshimura Hideki passed away. Bloodthirsty Butchers have been one of my favorite bands for the longest and are arguably one of the main reasons that I was ever introduced or listened to Japanese music. He mentioned that the upcoming Bloodthirsty Butchers record is his masterpiece and can't wait to listen to his final work.
