The J-Music Lovers' International Assembly

That sounds more like an excuse to me as she is still doing her countdown lives that very same day and she would just have to perform right before it. If she wasn't doing CDL and not releasing any new music that would be a more believable excuse.

I'm not actually clear on who said no to who. You're right though. That is weird. Edited by Mandilinn

The mailman costume seems random, but it made me laugh. He looks so awkward in it.

My MBLAQ babies released a bunch of ballads for their 7th (last?) mini, it's is all beautiful but I don't feel like spazzing because of all the fuckery surrounding them right now.  I really hope they pull a Shinhwa and continue to promote as a group.

So, wait. I'm confused. Are they disbanding or are they continuing on? I feel like I've seen articles saying both. Edited by Mandilinn

Ayu is in trouble with NHK for breaking their rules. According to the article, she isn't allowed to make an announcement of any sort (social media or otherwise) until NHK announces the results themselves, whether it leaks out from another source or not. It's common courtesy for the artist side to not comment on rumors or leaks until the day of the press conference, no matter what speculation comes out in the papers. The writer of the article also speculates that her early announcement was a cover-up for the fact that she just wasn't invited.

http://news.livedoor.com/article/detail/9509071/

Something did seem off about her announcement. If she was really "graduating" they would've given her a proper sendoff like they did Kitajima Saburo the previous year (or the year before? I can't remember). Ugh, I feel bad for her, but at the same time, she kind of brought it on herself. She should know better.   :._.:

She's had decent songs in the past, but this is going to kill her if it was just copied and not legally bought. K-pop fans can be vicious.   :._.:

A few previews for Hikki's tribute album are up on iTunes.

Anyone going to watch the new game award show tonight? They're streaming it from everything.

http://thegameawards.com/

Listened to JUJU's cover album and it was disappointing. She picked some songs that didn't fit her. I was expecting a lot out of Endless Story and Ningyo especially, but those fell flat in comparison to Yuna's original and Namie's cover.

Any other fans of Lecca? I discovered her music a few years ago (right when Zoolander was about to come out), and some of her songs totally rock my world. Like "Clown Love," "Golden Lion," and "Sky is the Limit."

Here's one song in case anyone is interested in checking her out:

I used to not be able to stand her, but she grew on me. I love that song  :raep:

I seem to remember there were several people that liked her...there was a lot of hype around her when Zoolander came out. Edited by Mandilinn

Zoolander is a really solid album; I think it's my favorite of her last three albums. Her music can be kinda hard to get into - the verses are just SO long compared to the chorus haha - but I love her distinct vocals and when her music finally gets to the chorus, it's usually catchy as heck.

Did you get a chance to listen to her latest album? What did you think?

Previews for Kaname's cover album are up: http://www.kanamekawabata.net/

Oh, and I listened to ATSUSHI's Love Ballade album. The songs were nice, but there's nothing that tops the ballads off of Music for me (actually Music might end up being one of my top albums of the year).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmnCwRAzFvg

The way the piano changes the meaning of the lyrics despite the lyrics at the end not changing at all...it's such a simple touch but it works so well. And ATSUSHI's vocals are fantastic here.

Joe Hisaishi x ATSUSHI. Need I say more? ψ(`∇´)ψ The live performance of this song is chilling and powerful.

I gave her cover album a listen last night.  It... wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't quite what I was hoping, all things considered.  It was kind of over before I realized it, if that makes any sense.

If you're looking for something to listen to this week and are up for trying something new, I'd recommend giving Sukima Switch's eponymous album a shot, since I think that you might like it (they do jazz fusion-pop).  It's by and far been my favorite release this week and has gotten so much playtime in the past couple of days that I really want to recommend it to others.

Oh, and I'll probably tune in and out of the game awards, depending on how things go.

I was browsing for a few more albums to listen to before I compile my final album list for the year, so I'll check that out, thanks.

I'm mostly interested in seeing how this show differs over the previous one. The only watchable part of the old awards show for me was the game reveals and trailers.

Oh they were today???? I'm in the Street Fighter V hype train at the moment and i forgot that :0
And yeah,Juju Request 2 is not good as the first but Anniversary  and Can't Stop Falling in Love!!!! :ahmagah:

If you go to the website, there's a page where you can have them send you a reminder when it's starting.

...Wait, they announced the next Street Fighter? :o

"Tough Village?" I really like it but it doesn't grab me like Zoolander did. I'm not sure why, I think it's just because it came out while I was starting to get more into KPop so there was a lot competing for my attention haha. My favorite thing about Tough Village is that, unlike with a lot of the songs on Zoolander and Top Junction, the songs are a little more chorus-oriented (they get to the chorus faster and repeat it more often).

Do you have it? I think I'm going to listen to it this afternoon

Zoolander or Tough Village? I have both~ Edited by Mandilinn

I was called unprofessional but I really don't think I was. I mean how professional can I be writing on a site in my spare time for free? I'm not complaining at all though but I think some people have this idea that we're being paid and therefore should be held to a higher standard.

I don't think it's the fact that you have an opinion. It's the way you express it and act in the comments. It's fine for a regular user, but it isn't entirely appropriate for a staff member. No, you're not paid, but the admins allowed you to be a part of their staff and as a member of the staff you represent them. Your attitude could have an impact on people wanting to work with them and the site itself, so maybe you should be a little more careful with what you say sometimes.

You didn't read anything I wrote, did you? You can be honest and truthful in a way that doesn't piss people off.

And stop trying to take credit for Arama when they already had plans to diversify the site before you came along. It's really disrespectful to the other staff and admins.

are we still talking bout the Big bang and AKB thing? or another topic? lmao

Just in general.

Anyway, THEY'RE SHOWING THE NEW ZELDA :ahmagah:

Like with music, I'm trying to finish up with my games list for the year. I'm not as picky with game genres, so anyone got one or two I should check out? I just finished Broken Age. Preferably not ones more than 20 hours because I'm still trying to get through Ni no Kuni.

Is this the tour in support of Bon Voyage? I think that's my favorite album of 2014, so many bops. I haven't seen any of her live stuff but I hear she's really good, so it'd be awesome to see some of my favorite songs performed live.

Bon Voyage was Koda Kumi's album, not BoA's~ Edited by Mandilinn

i just finished two games within a week. T__T I need more Bayonetta.

Tho, I still have a lot of games to finish ....

Skyward Sword is a must, but it's boring me right now T_T considering how action packed Bayonetta was lmao

Bayonetta is all I hear about lately. Maybe I should pick it up. The first one was fun, but I remember it being really weird, too....

starting a new game is fun. I often do it without finishing games i'm already playing.

So how long is your back catalog?
