Wow

Arashi and JSB so close. They truly are the next group to look out for TBH.

Their  latest DVD and Blu-Ray sold really well in the first week, 300k+ and 100k+ each, almost at Arashi's level. AKA they're the new EXILE (in that their album sales and DVD numbers equal that of EXILE's from a few years ago).

Whoever wrote that article is either ignorant or doesn't know jack about doing at least a little bit of research.

And my sis just called it 'the stupidest article' on her twitter lol.

EDIT:

Just looked over the article. Somebody needs to go back to school because by YG's logic, BIG BANG wouldn't even be no.1. It would have been KinKi Kids.

Regarding BABYMETAL's Gimme Chocolate being featured in Limitless here: http://onehallyu.com/topic/268595-i-just-heard-babymetals-give-me-chocolate-in-a-us-tv-show/, I once read a Masi Oka tweet about Sandaime JSB's RYUSEI being used in an episode of Hawaii Five-O's latest season, but then I forgot about it. Does anyone know about this?

I... don't even know what to say about that.  It puts "Blackstar" in a completely different light as an album and makes it all the sadder to consider really.  He's one of the few acts I always assumed would be around for far far longer than this.

I just heard a track from the album yesterday and it completely threw me off guard. I'm still somewhat shocked here.

OMG...

Large-scale renewal plan for Tokyo Dome, from 2016-2019: http://www.hochi.co.jp/giants/20160122-OHT1T50054.html

Several other venues will start renovation this year too. There'll be tougher competition for music acts to hold concerts starting this year, and the hardest will probably be Kpop acts if they want to hold concerts in bigger venues. I'm expecting priority will be given to local acts.

I believe, if my memory is right, that that's the Recochoku Top 20 for 2015.

Interesting - what other venues are up for renovation?

Besides Kokuritsu and now Tokyo Dome is confirmed, Yokohama Arena as well, while Saitama Super Arena is still up in speculation but they all want to start as early as possible before the Olympics.

War of the venues 2016 is coming.

Is this why Arashi is doing an arena tour this year ?

I think the renovation will be done in stages. NEWS will have a 2-day concert there in June. Arashi should still be able to do it. I think Johnny's groups who normally have Tokyo Dome concerts will still be able to do it. Only that. the dates available will be cut short with the renovation going on, plus baseball will always be given the priority.

February 28. DREAMS COME TRUE, Ken Yokoyama, Hoshino Gen, [Alexandros],and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu are performing. Shiina Ringo, MAXIMUM THE HORMOE, cero, tofubeats, WANIMA, Natsume Mito will be appearing on the show. This is probably the closest Japan has got to a real music awards show in a while: http://aramajapan.com/news/nominees-announced-for-the-space-shower-music-awards/53639/

Yes! Will be looking forward to it.
