I'm completely slayed by Seiko's new song. I always wanted to get into her but she has such a long discog that I didn't know where to start with. I'm pretty sure she has many hide gems in her extensive discog. Can someone recommend me her best albums/songs? thanks.

Start with Citron, it's an amazing album

How ignorant.

I've also seen Kpop fans complain about artists releasing singles and music videos off of already released albums. And I mean like western artists.

They think everyone should follow the Kpop formula of one worthwhile track per album with 10 filler songs and then release 4 more albums that year. They literally want quantity over quality and I don't get it.

I blame EDM and how quickly almost every EDM song gets old.

Almost all YG groups and idol basically start to sound the same and have no substance in their music nowadays

True. But at the same time, some of the newer groups do it better

Like this is clearly a 2NE1 song, but this new group does it better. They make it actually fun instead of sounding super try-hard.

I feel like a terrible fan. All the Arashians are so excited about their performance today and I'm just like zzzzzz.

I'm jamming to Galaxy by Ladies Code right now. <3 and B.E.G.

I've been really into these two Kpop songs. Both are very pleasing to the ears and especially the eyes.

I've honestly really been getting back into Kpop recently, probably because my Japanese faves have not been serving in years.

I will never understand when people say the collabs are the best part of Utada's album. They are good and all, but definitely not the best. But I guess the majority of people have the opposite opinion of me.

Edit:

This sounds so dated but I don't even hate it

But the bigger question is if LDH is going to get the chop over this scandal. And will Keyakizaka46 debut in light of their scandal?

LDH: for the most part I think they won't get the chop. MAYBE Exile won't get invited to Kouhaku, but that'd be for popularity reasons. The only lasting effect of this scandal would be no new LDH acts debuting on Kouhaku.

K46: They will not debut and they will not get the JRA bc of this scandal. The Israeli embassy made a statement on it, and when politics get involved, you know that the scandal is truly damaging. It kinda sucks bc they were really the only ones that deserved the Best New Artist award this year, but I guess it'll go to someone else.

Another question, to win the JRA, does an act have to debut THAT year? BC Vision Factory and Avex are really starting to push their new idol group Fuwafuwa (pretty much the new Fairies, since they are flopping now), and we know how they bought Fairies that award years ago, so you would think Avex would buy the award for Fuwafuwa too.

Also K46 might still debuting on kohaku, the probability is still high. The scandal wasn't that bad, as in they're not breaking any japanese law or value. Also apology on their website was more than enough

Kobayashi Sachiko, a kohaku regular, didn't get invited bc she fired her manager and the tabloids reported on it...

That's the most minor thing and yet NHK didn't even try to have her on
