I'm assuming you mean Oomori Seiko? If so than I Highly recommend her album 'Sennou'. I'm bias of course because it's my favorite release by her but it's amazing either way. Also if you want some suggestions for artists similar to her, just ask, I've managed to find some indie ones that need more love anyway ^^

No I meant Matsuda Seiko

When Utada releases her new album can we have another large-scale ranking of the 4 Queen's songs. The last one was like 5 years ago, with the user base of this site kind of changing from the old sites, it would be interesting to see how the ranking would compare to like 5 years ago.

The problem is that the four queens are probably the most widely listened to acts among the international J-Music fandom, which is what made them the perfect people to rank.

I mean we could always do an LDH ranking from all the acts under the umbrella (now including Crystal Kay) since they are pretty widely listened to, but personally, I don't listen to those acts all that much and probably would only participate for Flower.

Or we could do the current queens of Jpop ranking and make it Kyary v. FAKY v. FEMM v. lol

Why can't I be left alone when I say my opinion about Japanese music? Like I don't respond to people who says that x male artists sounds the same (which I don't get and I wonder if they are familiar with them) . I can hardly find people who's into that Japanese music that I like.

What is the music that you like?

Apparently this is an poll about who people want to perform at the olympics that's been going around. It seems to have a lot of voters and is increasing at a quick rate.

http://www.siesta-tokyo.com/article/439086791.html

Top 3 RN are:

SMAP - 24244 Votes (47.4%)

Arashi - 4735 Votes (9.3%)

µ's - 2861 Votes (5.6%)

The rest of the top 5 is like anime shit, so clearly otaku have gotten to this poll

I had a shower thought today. Instead of doing another female soloist rank off or whatever, what if we do our own ver. of Kouhaku.

Like the members of this forum decide on like 40 acts (attempting to cover all genres, demographics, etc.) and then divide them into 2 teams and have acts face off. Then the members vote on each matchup and whichever act in the matchup gets the most votes, they win a point for their team. Whichever team has the most points wins. Does that all make sense?

I mean, this was just a quick thought, but I really think we could make it work.

I'm really over with Flower at this point their new was a let down for me

Most people have been over Flower since Chiharu left. Their last song that really impressed me was Akikaze no Answer and I'm pretty sure that was a couple of years ago.

On the other hand E-Girls' newest single is their best ever

Why does it seem like Flower just keeps releasing the same damn song with the same damn video? Some MOR cellphone ballad with a PV of dancing in a room full of soft, girly things (like flowers, how original!).

Because they are as successful and profitable as ever. They don't need to pay someone to come up with a brilliant PV storyline or write a unique song because they can keep doing what they are comfortable with and be successful. They also have less members to pay now. Pretty much everything is going right for them so they don't even try anymore. It's annoying, but it's pretty much what the majority of girl groups do when they get big tbh
