omg the differences 

too many idols and it makes everything seems obvious.

 

So far this year only 3 non-idols have had a #1 single: Golden Bomber (  ), EXILE, and Fukuyama Masuhara. That's worst than this time last year when at least Bump Of Chicken, Fukuyama Masuhara, B'z, and Mr.Children managed to get #1 singles. Add in another Fukuyama Masuharu single and a Koda single and you have all the non-idol singles for 2012. Out of curiosity I went back to 2008. There were 8 non-idol #1 singles that year by this time: AAA, RADWIMPS, Thelma Aoyama, Porno Graffiti, Namie, L'Arc~En~Ciel, Ayu, and B'z.  For the rest of the year there were 12 more non-idol #1 singles: GReeeeN (2 weeks at #1), Glay, Yui, Perfume, Mr.Children, Southern All Stars, Mr.Children again (2 weeks at #1), EXILE, Koda, Dreams Come True, Uverworld, and EXILE again, for a grand total of 20. How did it go from 20 to 6 in 4 years?

Maybe it's the quality of the video, and that she didn't sing in the video at all, but I thought it was just someone putting a track on an album over another one of her videos. 

 

I barely remember this song or pv but try a different link they are tons on youtube but this pv is kinda a mess for me so I wouldn't be surprised the lip syncing is really off

i would probably look at the album chart than the single chart as for now.

for example is HSJ, they usually sold 200k for their single and barely reach 100k on the album chart.

clearly, that show something there.

for example is HSJ, they usually sold 200k for their single and barely reach 100k on the album chart.

clearly, that show something there.

Pretty much. To be honest the singles chart is just jammed full of the same AKBs and JEs over and over again.

Why don't you focus on the whole chart and not just on who gets #1. I see some people say they don't like shit for popularity and I don't see any problems with you cheering on your faves but really I don't even get where most of the complaint is. You have a diverse album and digital chart already but you pretty much just concentrate on the top 50. -___-

You say this all the time but it's like as if you're ignoring the rapid change because you're an idol fan. And we did look at things outside #1. Lots of the songs in the top 100 year end chart never reached #1 and even there the decline in diversity shows. It's not butthurt, it's a simple fact that's being pointed out. If anyone's butthurt it's you because you don't want this being exposed.

Nah Atsushi is popular among the general public (Hiro is also arguably more well known than Takahiro since he is leader), Takahiro is most popular among women, Melrose outsold Ace of Spades last year so I highly doubt he can beat an idol. I'd be happy with number 2 =) Rankings aren't important to me, just good sales haha

You're grasping at straws. You make all these excuses for singles but not for any other chart. I see no drop in diversity when the overall (and not just the singles) picture is still healthy. All you do is tunnel at the top. I'd take your argument perhaps if you extended it to top 300

Freaking finally! Exams took hella long. 

Well it was like "here's your state mandated exams and then a week after here's your AP exams THAT COST 80 DOLLARS A PIECE" and technically I still have to take my end of course finals but I'm well off enough in my grades that I can not care about those.

I live in the god damn scantron generation of public schooling so there's like 5 sets of different tests for different things. it's like we're multiple choice tested lab mice or something.
