Joga 1,315 Posted September 30, 2018 Share Posted September 30, 2018 I've finally gotten around to listening to Ayu's discog, and I realize its mostly horrible. How was she going #1 and selling all these records with music like this? The tracks mostly sound like cheap throwaways. I love simple pop songs but the melodies in her songs are just not very strong. People pretend that she has declined significantly over the years-- and I do agree, visually she has. But sonically there really wasn't much opportunity to go down further.
