Kana's single has leaked but not on J-mp3. I want to hear Story ; A ;

:chu:

Work has been keeping me busy, but I'll be here more often in another week in a half or so once school is more or less over for the kids. Then a few weeks later I get to tutor kids in summer school. Yay. :soul:

Then welcome :)

I saw a preview of Story up on JPC if you want me to grab it!

hahaha Ryu your reviews are funny to read. Especially because you felt the need to apologize for your low scores.

Your Wolf review

Well, no one can say that I'm not being honest.  :P  The moment I saw that song in my list, I had a feeling that I was going to end up writing something like that given what I'd heard about it.

can someone give me the romaji for this song title: ãƒãƒ©è‰²ã®ãƒ€ãƒ³ã‚¹

i need to know what to label it as

I believe that it's "Bara Shoku no Dansu".  Though, there are multiple readings for that kanji.  "Shoku" is just the one that I think is right.

yea i tried to look for it myself but i saw that one and this one "Barairo no Dance". i didn't know if i should go with "bara shoku" or "barairo"

The kanji can be read both ways - you might want to check with Mandi on which one is right in this situation, since song titles are kind of hard to nail down.

It's "Barairo no Dance" ("Rose-Colored Dance")

"Shouku" wouldn't be correct here because it's a counter for colors, and "Bara" isn't a color. It means "rose".

Ahhh - hadn't learned that counter yet, just the reading.  That explains it xD

Yeah, and Konami's press conference is actually tomorrow. (But I think they always do theirs separate from everyone else). I want to see some impressive things out of Nintendo next week because last year they didn't do so well in selling the Wii U to people.

Sony is supposed to reveal what the PS4 looks like, but I'm not expecting anything crazy. Hopefully we'll get some more new IPs for the console, and I want to see more of The Last of Us (which is almost out).

Microsoft... =/ I'm not expecting much out of them, to be honest.

That's just a rumor right now...I'm trying not to get my hopes up ><

I'd rather see the new Zelda if I had to pick. I want to know where they'll go with the story now.

I have hope for Nintendo, given that they seem to be focusing almost totally on the games this year.  Sony ... will probably do pretty well, all things considered, though I don't expect anything mind-blowing out of them.  Microsoft.... *laugh* Yeah, very little hope.  And I'd worry about Nintendo being able to recapture what made Majora's Mask ... special in a port.

I was actually interested in some of the titles that Sony previewed in their PS4 reveal, so I hope those will get at least a little time in the conference. Infamous: Second Son looked very promising. I loved the first two, so I have high hopes for this.

I won't worry about it Majora until it's officially announced. But my hope is that they just don't touch the story or anything and give it a T rating (how it got an E in the first place baffles me, but the 90s were a different time xD)

It's still not as powerful as the PS4, but that doesn't really matter with Nintendo because they have a way of using their consoles to create really unique and memorable styles for each of their games. I wonder what style they'll pick for this Zelda~ Skyward Sword painting style? Cel-shaded? Or darker and more realistic?

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely be checking out the ones you suggested and I'll let you know what I think of them when I'm done.

I think that's up to Level 5...I don't know if they're going to be there. I wonder if the floor plans are even out. D: I borrowed a Japanese copy of the game and a 3DS from a friend once and didn't get far before I gave it back, but it seems good. Who would they get to voice Phoenix and Maya, though? =w=

That soundtrack is amazing T^T

Nintendo tends to go back and forth between Dark and Light Zeldas, so the next should be darker.

From the Zelda tech demo? Yeah, me too. Imagine battles like this :ahmagah:

Hmm...but this is Nintendo. Remember what happened when Wind Waker was announced? People were pissed. Even though it ended up being a good game.

Wind Waker followed Majora and was followed by Twilight Princess though.  What I'm saying is that the pattern in main series games appears to be (though there were SOME darker parts to Wind Waker) shifting from Dark, to Light, to Dark, etc.

Where are you guys following your E3 news? I would watch x-play, but the show is gone now =(

Site-wise, I follow Destructoid and TheEscapist, since they tend to provide the information along with some pretty un-bias (in terms of the industry) opinions.

DA PUMP is good, but they mostly just do choreography now. Kenzo is Namie and Fairies' current choreographer. :ahmagah:

Giant Bomb is the site I consider the best, mostly because it's really informal and personal for them. They get lots of great in-depth talks with developers and other press after hours, and they're incredibly honest with how they feel on the news coming out. The only thing is, they're not as quick with trailers and other things because they're off talking to those types of people.  If you just want news and trailers, one of the sites Ryu suggested might work better.

Tell your friend to check out GENERATIONS (GENE for short). That might be close to the type of music they're looking for.

The Escapist is actually known for being kind of similar.  They are mainly a news site, but all of their features involve the writers being very honest on what they think of things, though some times it's more bombastic than others.  Destructoid is good mainly due to being quick yet not in the industry's pocket.

started DQ9 and played for maybe an hour and a half yesterday. haha some of the names are funny like Protectorate and Benevolessence.

but man that battle theme is kinda boring. 8's was great

To me, VIII was a better game.  IX isn't bad, but the lack of actual characters in your party rather than ones that you build yourself ... hurt the game in my honest opinion.

yes i know that's the main reason why i was hesitant to play it and to play DQ5 instead. But Midna said she loved 9 so i thought i'd try it out. DQ8 is in my top3 rpgs of all time.

also if you haven't seen, your partner posted his review of your list in the current tradeoff thread.

Yeah, I saw.  Went about as I expected honestly.  *chuckle*  My list was mostly rock and jazz with one or two pop songs in there, so it's not something that I expected to do amazingly well with someone who really likes pop.  But the lists are meant to show your tastes, and I certainly did that.

My favorite RPGs ... one's a Computer-RPG, one's a console RPG, and one's a handheld RPG xD

looks at avatar...is that portable one Golden Sun haha

i couldn't get into that series. Every fight it was like i was just managing my cool downs and and charge ups for the jjinns (djinn?) instead of actually fighting.

Aye, it is.  I can understand why some people can't get into it, but to me it was a large part of my childhood.  I really like the world (in that it's actually fairly unique, particularly in the second game) and found the characters compelling.  The Djinn system could get tedious or it could be really interesting depending on what you did with it, and it created so many class options and thus so many ways to play the game.

Sony did a really good job of convincing me to want a system that I hadn't even thought of wanting until last night.  It's just the games (I'll even admit to being interested in The Order, when I'm not a shooter person), the lack of binding DRM, the price, and most of all the attitude, which is a major improvement from the PS3 era (where I criticized them a lot).  For the first time in a long time, I actually believe that they genuinely want to please their customers, and I can definitely get behind that.  Plus, I'll admit that I enjoy the snark directed at Microsoft, who deserve every hit they're taking.

You disappoint me. I wanted you to go off on that guy that called you an elitist douche.

That would shatter your image of me as a wise old man, and I couldn't possibly do that.  :P  In all seriousness though, I tend not to continue arguments with people who directly insult me (or rather, I try not to).  At that point I'd rather walk away and leave the fact that they were the one to open their mouth like that as the last thing said.  Also, having looked through his posts, it's not like what I said would've gotten through anyway.  If he has no problem with Microsoft's DRM, then saying why their DRM violates my ideals and why I think it's a bad thing for the industry won't help.  You did a good job of trying though.  :)

haha, but i wanted to see Scary Ryu again.

yea...i tried and failed. He/she is not changing their mind. It just annoyed me because it seemed like he was trying to accuse us of being sony fanboys without actually saying it. Kind of reminds me of the person that tried to tell me not much people like the 360 on here because it's an asian entertainment site.

... Right.  Yeah, that's the vibe that I was getting from what he was saying as well.  I also didn't understand much anyone that said that Microsoft had the better game line-up, but I guess that that just comes down to opinion.  When it comes to me, I'm ... fairly tired of shooters xD

Zero was just an awesome character D:

He had such an awesome character design <3

Zero-Zero2.png

I didn't see Ness/Lucas in the trailer

Im only good at Mother characters

I was kind of hoping for Zero as well, since his MMZ variant would have been so much fun to play.

Yeah her TV performances weren't all that great, probably her job taking its toll on her, she seems much more energized now that she's doing everything at her own pace now though

I just put [media ] link here [ /media]

remove the spaces

You could also just paste the url as plain text by right clicking and selecting that option - does the same thing as un-linking it and will let the video be embedded.

I've never had much of a problem with Marsjunkiegirl and haven''t spoken or interacted with her much but she may have just insinuated that I don't let myself enjoy music. Are you kidding me???

You clearly do enjoy the music that you listen to, so you've no need to worry about that.  I feel like the comment was made because you tend to analyze music a lot in your posts, but ... that's not a bad thing at all.  In fact, that's the way that some people enjoy their music (there is no one way to do it).  Besides, just because you analyze a song in one post doesn't at all mean that you don't have fun listening to it.  I've seen the attitude before (I tend to like analyzing music, though I don't post about it as much) and some people just can't seem to accept that I can take a song apart and still enjoy it.

Isn't that rich coming from her????

Would definitely understand that coming from any other user on the forum outside of her because she has a tendency to analyze and create discussion around quite a few releases and music in general. I've seen her use quite a few things in regards to psychology, sexuality and other aspects being used to discuss music, which makes it a bit unnecessary and a cheap shot coming from her.

In that case ... yeah, that's one heck of a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
