I had to triple check that I was reading what I thought I was when that popped up on my feed....I'm just so sad for her. Losing your mother  is one thing, but losing her to suicide....I can't imagine how she feels right now.

That's what I've read. I'm not sure if that's the exact figure but they definitely have gotten divorced and remarried. I hope that wasn't a factor either.

But it would take days to explain everything because J-Pop is so huge. You'd need a 100-200 page book for that, not a one-page article. You could probably go on for 100+ pages just on LDH alone (and we have, just look at all the threads for them).

The article was just okay. But there was a huge lack of non-idol male acts on there. Why wasn't Daichi or EXILE mentioned, at least? That surprised me =/ It kind of seems like the author is just going by what they've heard people like, not what actually would be a good recommendation for beginners.

 

Maybe we should make a beginner's guide. Everyone could work on a portion for the music/artists they know best  :O

I have mentioned this before but usually the people I see Kpop fans taking an immediate liking to are Fower and BRIGHT. Whenever there is a recommendation thread you can bet that someone recommended one of the two and the op commented on how good they are.

Non-idol male bands were one of my biggest gripes with this article, and LDH you wouldn't need to explain much in an article like this, it's a company composed mainly of dance vocal units, Exile is daddy, 3JSB brother group, and E-Girls consists the little sister groups Dream, Flower, Happiness and Bunny. You don't have to delve deep to give them each a mention instead of just throwing a name out there.
