I'm sorry but these kpop fans who called that kid's school principal, and whatever else need to get a life. That's going a bit overboard. I agree. I understand wanting to report and block him (he deserved that much), but harassing him at home/school and treating him the as badly as he's acting himself? Call me old-fashioned, but I don't believe that's right at all. He's acting like a horrible and despicable human being, but stooping to his level makes you no different than him and it doesn't really solve anything in the end.

I agree 100%. Once you stoop to someones level you're no better than them no matter what the cause. He was being a horrible person/troll, but I don't think he deserved all of what happened or what people want to happen. Especially the people who say he needs to go to juvi need to get a grip. I'm no fan of internet trolls or racist, and I'm fine with people getting exposed for who they are, but tracking down a child and finding where he goes to school/lives and calling non stop is being way too obsessive.  

 

Side note: I'm getting tired of people giving their psychoanalysis over the internet as if they were professionals.

Tomorrows my friend's wedding, I am excited and peeved at the same time, mostly because I am damn tired from today's craziness.

I have to be at my friend's hoouse at 6:45 in the morning because she needs help with her sari, so we are going to me other friends house, and then from there to the brides house, then to the actual hall for the ceremony...why do Tamil weddings have to be so early :wth:  

Some guy was making fun of kpop fans and that girl who died and then asians in general and people retaliated by finding what school he went to and bombarding it with phone calls etc. There's a whole thread about it. But some of the comments there are no better than him. The whole thing is a mess really.

In this day and age of technology, you're responsible for the actions you make on social media. If you don't want to be a disgrace, keep your dirty little secrets just that, secret. Or be smart and do these awful things in an anonymous manner.

 

"Stooping to his level"? How are you even comparing him making a joke out of someone's death to him not being smart, leaving tracks of his shitty actions, and displaying enough information that eventually all caught up to him?

 

I agree his actions were shitty, but people aren't really harassing him at this point they're harassing the school. The line has to be drawn somewhere. He was a bad troll. Feel free to disagree, but getting his social media shut down and harassing him on there is fine to me. Since that's where he started it, but going beyond that saying he deserves to be in juvi, beat up, and looks like a retarded monkey isn't too far from what he was doing.

 

I'm in no way justifying his actions, but some people need to chill. Fighting racism with more racism does nothing in my eyes. He needed to learn his lesson and I think he has a bit since he has been called up to his schools office and has his stuff on private.  At this point, calling his school anymore is just too much.

When a new Doctor is chosen, they usually reserve the regeneration/new Doctor scene for the last moments of a final episode of a season. They've never revealed a new Doctor in the middle of a series/season.

As for how they treat it in the actual story, they spend the first episode setting up the new Doctor's new personality and dealing with the aftermath of the regeneration. The show is basically the same after that, but with a slight tonal shift (mostly because each of the twelve doctors has a completely different personality, even though they're essentially the same person).

i agree with this, the kid is a vile piece of shit, but there is no need to bombard the school with this,  I am sure there are more important matters the principal has to deal with.  He is also probably feeding off the attention he's getting, this issue wouldn't have gotten out of hand if they ignored him so that he just comes across as a dumb attention whore.  Instead, people just helped glorify his actions, he was probably living it up.

It was fun, the food was pretty good, and it was cool seeing her culture and ceremony. we stuck with her till the end since we were technically her bridesmaids. It was funny we made a bet because she said she wouldn't cry since she isn't the type and she made it through the whole ceremony so we thought she actually was going to make it, but in the end when her parents were leaving from the grooms house she began tearing up.  

 

 

Man every time one of my friends gets married we all wonder who is next.

 

Sounds like a good time. I can't imagine any of my friends getting married soon.

 

It's a bit intimidating to figure out where to begin if you're curious, but people are always suggesting starting with the episode Blink, and I'd agree. It introduces the Doctor from an outsider's perpective, there's no story arc to try and understand, there's good writing/pacing, and best of all it's super creepy without being cheesy.

I'm glad she ditched the English version for tours in favor of the Japanese version. It just works so much better.

I kind of want to re-listen to Uncontrolled now, but I'm listening to PLAY for the 1st time right now and it's surprisingly good. 

 

I think she did a better job with English songs in FEEL than Uncontrolled.

PLAY is a fan favorite. I've never talked to a Namie fan that dislikes the album.

She likes to experiment, so I think Uncontrolled was more of her testing the waters with those types of songs and FEEL is her going full-out with it. She puts a ton of work into her albums and it usually pays off. Ballada for example has been in planning for 3 years, and FEEL was started before Uncontrolled was even released. I'm curious as to what her next album will be like, though we won't get anything until this whole mess with Vision Factory is worked out. Currently neither side wants to budge, but she has fan support and Avex is rumored to be backing her, so we'll see what happens.

It gets plenty of love! She performed it just last year :o

This probably isn't helpful, but I like all these ideas :ohla: Especially the book club. Is it for the J-section only, though? What types of books would be chosen?

I think I've been confusing comments on Past<Future with PLAY. I haven't been able to get through P<F at all yet  :._.:

I've seen Dr.  and WILD  get a lot of praise, but I just don't like them. FAST CAR is jam though. But I can see why people like PLAY it's a good album, kind of funky, but done really well.

 

 

Just the thought of interviews makes me so uneasy. :._.:

Syrup16g and Do As Infinity have both been around for quite some time so I'm sure there are a lot of songs that you'll like. These 2 songs are probably some of my favorite rock songs of all time  :)

Do As Infinity has was active 199-2005 and then 2008 and syrup16g 1996- 2008 and then started again in 2014.

 

You should check out syrups16g's new album "hurt" and Do As Infinity's album "Break of Dawn" where both of those songs are from.
