I feel like this gif could have many many meanings depending on the context. Like this could mean it's a great cover...or a terrible one. Also appropriate reaction to her recent concerts in Japan and Korea.

 

 

In other news, I've discovered two new J-dramas in the past week and loving both. One with Yukie, the other with Ayase. The one with Yukie (SAKURA) is more episodic, but also interesting, mysterious, and has a nice less. The one with Ayase has more of a cohesive plot line, less corny stuff, but it's also a typical rom-com. I've also realized how many Japanese actresses look like her.

I think I'll check out Liar Game soon too. Haven't checked out the original Japanese version, but people seem to be loving the K version so far.

lol yea i think Satomi Ishihara looks like a younger and more attractive Ayase. Eventhough they're pretty much the same age. 

Yup that's the show. 

 

But yeah, Ayase and Ishihara look similar, as do Yukie Nakama and Ryoko Shinohara. Like, they all look like Ayase's cousins. Ishihara is probably my favorite though of the bunch, and the one I can easily discern. Love Yukie too. Haven't seen anything other than one drama from Ryoko, and this is my first Ayase drama.

Anyway, watching a lot more dramas this season than last. That ayase one (which I'm waiting on the sub for), SAKURA, and Mr. Back. Liar game is decent but not my cup of tea. Tried the Japanese version as well and still couldn't get into it. I think they're great shows for those interested in them though.

 

As for anime, Akatsuki no Yona though. Man, that is the anime of the season for me.

I got into nursing school!!!!!! 

So excited, been working towards this for 4 years!

I found out on Black friday and been busy between finals coming up and prepping everything they need like Intent to Enroll, loans, and all that jazz. Never took a loan out so I'm still learning all that stuff.

 

Have I missed anything interesting in Jpop recently?

I always wonder where these singers go after they're dropped. Like some probably still are in music but I wonder how many go find work outside the field.


And still trying to teach myself piano. I took classes but was always slow. I hate this keyboard though. It's like 20 years old and I want to get one that has heavier keys so you can mess around with dynamics.

Been watching a lot of dramas this season. I wanna check out that N No Tameni drama. Currently watching that one with Ayase. Need to catch up on it. Also loving SAKURA, but only 1 more episode. A couple more episodes left of Mr. Back too.
Everyone seems to love Misaeng, so I might check it out. Not really into corporate dramas but I heard it's worth it.

Favorite drama atm has to be Pinocchio, with sakura 2nd. Pinocchio is probably the best drama of the year for me.

Anyway, got my schedule for nursing school. Looks intense, but it'll go by quick. I worrk more for next september when I have to put in job applications. But one step at a time.

Need to go download some new music. Going to be doing a lot of driving now, especially with hospital visits.

I kind of wonder if SNSD is trying to compete with E-Girls with their new dance-focused music video. E-Girls' album sold really well and they're on a successful second tour right now. Not to mention no one can touch them when it comes to dance. SNSD didn't seem to give a care before and most of their routines were pretty poorly executed.

I don't mean anything bad by it. I just find it a bit odd. :wth:
 

People were saying (not sure of they were joking) that its since Jessica isn't in the group. She was the laziest dancer in the group. 

Song is boring but dance is nice.

 

 

Speaking of Inuyasha, I have some of that latest season on my DVR I need to watch. I heard they changed some of the voice actors though  :cry:

 

I can't believe I'm almost done with my first semester of nursing school. It's going by so fast. Never been this busy before, but it's nice.

My games and books are kind of just sitting around unfortunately. I've been slow on new music too because of it.

In the Japanese or English version? I know they've changed a couple of the voice actors in the English versions (Kagome, Kohaku, Naraku, and Sesshoumaru), but I don't know about the Japanese.

 

Ah I love Celtic Woman! Though I haven't been paying active attention to them since Chloe left. I don't know who's in the group now and which of the original members are still in it.

Yeah Chloe was my favorite. I really like Lisa Lambe too cuz of the below performance, but then she left too. They rotate a lot, but you never know who is going to be back when. They are doing their 10th anniversary tour now though.

Ya know, my nursing school classmates/class/cohorts are a crazy bunch. I guess you gotta be to be a nurse. 

I think i had the idea that everyone would be kind and mature and respectful. Yeah, i guess not matter what there are always people that aren't like that. Luckily my actual group is amazing. One of my professors said she'll write a letter of recommendation for me and I discovered this great pita place near school, so a great day all in all.

Also MY SEMESTER IS DONE!!! I passed my first semester of nursing school. Barely.

Went to the Celtic Woman concert today! First one I've been to, only the 3rd concert ever. Lol, I like all 3 concerts were of foreign artists.

 

Place was packed but the crowd was great. I think maybe around 2000 people.

Speaking of ass shots.  :lol: But the mv is cute. Kind of shocked people didnt have a heart attack about them being in bikinis. Or maybe they did and I wasnt paying attention.

Song is a gem. But what I really love is that MV. The shots of them at the water during sunset are beautiful. Makes me want to visit the ocean so bad =(
 

 

Anyway, i got a great story (well great for me) to tell everyone.

 

So, I took my friend to the hospital last Monday to get an xray (dude is fine, just shouldn't play soccer when his mom is telling him not to). But while there, I think I got sick. I was supposed to fly out to Venice last Friday with my family, but since I was sick, I couldn't go. End up working out well, because since we fly standby...they never got the flight to Venice. It was too crowded. They ended up leaving just today for Paris instead. 

 

Anywho, since I've been sick, I picked up my grandma from her apartment and brought her home to have some company. She seemed bored though after a while. I tried showing her some old Bollywood songs and movies, and some new ones, but she didn't seem to into it. She's seen the old ones, and the new songs I think left her sad. She hasn't seen any new ones in years. No one takes her to the store apparently, or to the movies to see them. I think I'm going to try to help her out with that in the future. Plus, recent Bollywood films aren't like the ones she's used to.

 

Since the Bollywood wasn't really doing anything, I decided to watch the first episode of that new Korean Drama "My Love, Eun Dong" on the Roku. And her reaction was amazing. She was nearly as into the show as much as I was! She was laughing and feeling sad and everything. I think she liked it more than any of the films I showed her today. She can't read English very well, so I was translating best I could into Hindi. It was so nice, and probably the most we've bonded in the past year  :)
