I'm in a shit mood today because last night I closed alone and some people stole over $5000 worth of clothes from my department. I chased them, which I was not supposed to do, and they escaped. Everyone says it's not my fault, but...

*hugs*

:( at least you are safe, Doc.

5: 2017/08/22(ç«) 20:04:58.61 For men going the KPOP route is better If they go with Johnny's they'll have do shitty lame dances, wear horrible clothes and out of date music, and if they don't go with Johnny's they'll get pressured from Johnny's By becoming a Kpop idol they'll be able to get 100x the popularity worldwide

There's only two songs left in my playlist out of the entire track. Sugar & Yoru no Kage. A couple of intl fans on twitter said those two sounded too kpop.. but they've been doing disco funk like Sugar since their first album. I would hate if there's no disco vibe in arashi album. Yoru no Kage might sound kpop-ish and they (nino esp) sounded so good.

Btw, THE NEW SINGLE IS LOVELY. Loving all the tracks.

TOKIO had a bigger hit than Arashi recently? What song was it?

Honestly, after untitled, I left the fandom lol. Still liking Nino and Jun though, but I think I'm done with Arashi.

Disappointed :(

Damn, was it that bad?

This is surprising!!! You were my Arashi soul-sister lol but I admit that their releases are declining. I still brought there new album and jammed to a few songs tho.

I haven't listen to it yet, but I don't know if I even want to now b/c of this.

It's not a bad album, don't get me wrong. But it's not a good one either. It was very underwhelming for me. THey were on the right track with it, but I felt like it was too rushed. So many of the tracks had potential but it fell short. i think that if they took more time to record the album, it would've been great. I don't remember the tracks either lol.

That being said, I'm just not interested in their activities anymore lol.

Do they choose their own songs, at least for the album? I know that many Johnny's don't choose songs to be included in singles or albums with the exception of Kinki Kids, Kanjani8, TOKIO and maybe V6 (all these groups are known to listen to hundreds of songs before deciding on what to include in an album), but I was under the impression that Arashi also choose their songs considering they're one of the older groups.

To my knowledge, yes they do. I was hoping for a good album like AYH this year but... :(

So TWICE & BTS will be at MSSL this year. Still no Namie for year-end shows. So I made a thread of MSSL lineup at Random.

Anyway, looks like fandom wars are breaking out (again) because of MAMA.

Tell me about it. My t-list was interesting this morning lol

One of my biggest pet peeves is during awards seasons and there's fan votings involved. I get so annoyed every time I see Kpop fans tweeting and retweeting the same things, and begging the big accounts to RT their tweets for votes! God knows how many accounts I've muted or blocked because of that. Some of these people even make tons of socks just so they can RT votes, like, how much time do these people have in their hands? Don't they need to sleep? There are some Jpop fans on twitter who are like this too but they're more polite about it, like they'll tell you the time/period they'd RT stuff so that we can be prepared.

Arama Awards

I've finally gotten around to listening to Ayu's discog, and I realize its mostly horrible. How was she going #1 and selling all these records with music like this? The tracks mostly sound like cheap throwaways. I love simple pop songs but the melodies in her songs are just not very strong.

People pretend that she has declined significantly over the years-- and I do agree, visually she has. But sonically there really wasn't much opportunity to go down further.

Over the years I've realized my taste and the japanese general population don't really agree with each other.

Listening to her songs now... they're dated. But they were amazing in their time.
