KinKi Kids being so high is surprising.

I would've thought that last year too, but after Tsuyoshi was diagnosed with SHH, my friends in Japan told me how the Johnny's fandom in Korea exploded with that news. It made a very big deal over there, almost as big as SMAP's disbandment. Now that got on my radar. Tsuyoshi's solo live event in October and Kinki's upcoming Tokyo Dome & Kyocera Dome concerts got competitive results from Korean and Chinese fans (including from Taiwan & Hong Kong). And this year, there's also the Gintama movie effect. After checking further, I kinda understand now why Kinki are the top Johnny's group in Korea. Top reasons seem to be 'overall talents', 'having the most loveable songs' and 'live performances'.

I honestly I didn't wanted to see it. I want to UNSEE it. I didn't wanted it ever to happened. It didn't supposed to happen, it was mistake of the universe. Whoever thought it was good idea should be punished by the law. How do I unsee it? Somebody help us all.

What happened?

A collaboration part of Best Artist 2017. Out of all artists it was radiofish.

Oh yeah they collaborated with NEWS!

Though I think what pissed most Johnny's fans off last night was the lame prank pulled off by HSJ. Looks like that group have gotten to the top of most people's blacklist now.

What did this group do now?

And to answer your question last page, I don’t get the rankings. Which one is the Japan one and which one is the Korean? It’s looks the same tbh.

The rest of HSJ pranked Yamada by saying that Nakajima wanted to quit HSJ, and Yamada only found out that it was a prank during the broadcast.

About the ranking, it's a Johnny's election based on AKB election made by Korean fans at the Korean site theqoo. They started it in 2013. The 3 images in the tweet refer to results in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

All I was able to find was that for a period of time in 2016 she didn't do much due to health problems related to her throat. She's done a little since then but not a lot(released a best compilation album recently).

I missed her so much!

Stuff like that makes me glad as hell that J-Music twitter is'nt that annoying, I can stan my japanese faves in peace and everything over on j-music twitter (if it exists).

-------

Kpop twitter fandom got a huge inflow of what i'd like to called the annoying stan twitter styled western stans it's no coincidence that modern day kpop twitter ifans act exactly like those people.

That Cupcakke thing was so shitty of those people to do. Those fangirls thing that their faves are theirs and baby the heck out of em and it's so annoying.

One of my biggest pet peeves is during awards seasons and there's fan votings involved. I get so annoyed every time I see Kpop fans tweeting and retweeting the same things, and begging the big accounts to RT their tweets for votes! God knows how many accounts I've muted or blocked because of that. Some of these people even make tons of socks just so they can RT votes, like, how much time do these people have in their hands? Don't they need to sleep? There are some Jpop fans on twitter who are like this too but they're more polite about it, like they'll tell you the time/period they'd RT stuff so that we can be prepared.

western kpop fandom is a beast that'll eat itself i swear to god. those fans ruined the whole genre and it has 1% with anything remotely related to music, 99% to do with very young, very entitled people who crave validation and the way kpop is built, with the many competitions and rankings and titles, it makes perfect for that. it's like Dota 2 but with vlives and without the peeing in monster cans (i'm ASSUMING)

tbh that's why i get so sour when certain kpop fandoms ride off of certain jpop groups. i'm being unfair of course because it's perfectly possible they all enjoy the music, but some of them are so ignorant (also not their fault) and i can't help but feel like they're using it as yet another measuring stick.

Ugh you summed it all perfectly.

i feel like there should be a *not all* disclosure here but even those who don't do this refuse to acknowledge how insanely annoying this behaviour from waste swathes of kpop fans is and why the jpop community responds in kind.

*waste swathes* ROFL

Btw, Koreaboo writes about Sexy Zone's Sato Shori. Bandwagon or not? Or was it simply because SZ are in Fuller House? (Though the 'star' in the show is Marius, not Shori).

OMG did Johnny's just made their PVs available on Youtube... fD4JAZe.png

Well they're short versions but that is still something.

Only for Johnny's acts under Avex recording label. For now.

That’s a start. I hope Arashi gets to release their PVs/MVs on avex or whatever platform/music distribution they uses.

So far only for those groups under Avex. Arashi are under J-Storm, unrelated to Avex.

That’s what I kinda got from this release. Hoping that the other groups released theirs also under their own distribution label.

Among recording labels with Johnnys under them, only Avex and Pony Canyon have their own YT channels. Other recording labels are J&A-owned: Johnny's Entertainment, J-Storm, J-One, Infinity Records, multiple sublabels (like RAINBOW ENDLI9).

They can make their own channel. Heck they made JE’s Jrs YouTube channel.

Yeah I know. I'm only listing that because some people were expecting other groups' videos to appear on Avex channel too, when in fact they're all under different recording labels.
