Hero Kim Jaejoong 962
A lot people argue that being raised by another race that isn't their own race isn't right because they see the world in that races eyes and not their own race eyes.
Minkyeong 164
Why does it matter? We should see the world through human eyes.
Qri 4,063
Most definitely not! We are all one race anyway, the human race and that argument is invalid since that's more to do with the culture of where you live rather than your particular skin tone. Ulmicola 1,981
What the... fuck? Race doesn't matter, as long as someone gets adopted by good people and not by incompetent, hateful pricks that shouldn't even be allowed near a child. Why does it matter? We should see the world through human eyes. This.

denizen mars 5,911
People in the same country that are the same race as the child should be given precedence over those that are not, if other factors are equal (e.g. their fitness for caring for a child). shineerox 2,063
What? Why should they? People should be able to adopt whatever kid they want to adopt. Race doesn't matter at all. "they see the world in that race eyes and not the race they are eyes." Not the race they are... So if white parents were to adopt a kid of color, the child shouldn't see the world with "white eyes" but instead with the eyes of whatever race they are? That's fucked up. There shouldn't even be a difference between how each race sees the world in the first place. We're all humans.
denizen mars 5,911
But that is racist. Wealthy white people being able to swoop in and take poc children out of foreign countries so they can feel like white saviors is racist. If you actually wanted to care for a child, you'd adopt one in your own country. Many languish in local orphanages because it's not 'trendy' to adopt a western child. Ulmicola 1,981
But that is racist. No. If your country already has orphaned children that need a family, they have to get adopted before orphaned children of other countries that could get adopted by some people in their own country. It's not racism.

Psy 2,401
There's a greater responsibility at hand when adopting a child from a different race, and the only time when I am against such thing is when a Parent refuses to teach the child the values of his/her own race. My mom's family was talking about after they found out my friend is black but his parents is white. What did they think? Did it change their perception of your friend when they found out? As a Friend, do you feel your Friend is different from other Blacks? Do you think it has something to do with being raised by White Parents? kissxkiss_baby 5,756
I feel like that is kind of asking if gay people should be allowed to adopt. If a child with no parents is being placed in a home I don't see the problem.
Psy 2,401
They think like marsjunkiegirl I never really been around other black people to tell the difference. Truthfully, I do strongly agree with the first and last sentence in her second post. I don't think my perception would have gone that way had I not witnessed a group of 30 White people seated together in a flight from Ethiopia to the Nederlands, almost all with Black babies in their hands. You may think there was nothing wrong with that, but as a regular of that flight, it was an unsual feature to witness, particularly since there were strong indications that those babies were forced to put in sleep-mode. Babies cannot stay asleep for the entire duration of that long flight. I cannot say that I am all for or all against Parents adopting a child from a different race as I do believe that real intentions and interests are what determines whether such thing is healthy or not. That's a shame. It would have been interesting to find out if you felt any differences. Personally, I don't think there is a thing such as Black behaviour or Black attitude or Black mindset so I was curious as to how one can compare Blacks to one another.
