I actually think it does. I've noticed that in a lot of races light-skinned people are better looked upon than others. I think it's stupid and I feel awkward when people point out such things about others but well it is what it is.

To be serious, for the most part, yes. That isn't to say a person of light skin can't endure hardships, or even experience racism...but, your light skin is unlikely to be a hinderance in most parts of this world. \Unfortunately, the same can't be said for people of color.

Depends on the country I think. In Western countries though I'd say it is a resounding yes. Though the advantage comes just as much from money than it does the colour of your skin I think.
