Actor Lee Seung Gi recently talked about the “bad side†of Suzy and highly complimented her for her powerful kicks!

On April 7th, miss A’s Suzy and Lee Seng Gi, who both starring in new drama ‘Gu Family Book’, appeared on MBC â€˜Section TV’ and discussed their work together on an action scene.

During the interview, Lee Seung Gi revealed, “We were afraid about Suzy’s action because we didn’t have much time to prepare.â€

He added, “People usually try to make their kicks look as fancy as possible in the camera. But, Suzy’s kick is a serious one. She kicks to beat her opponent down. We were all surprised.â€

Cracked up in embarrassment, Suzy agreed and explained, “My father is a Taekwondo instructor so I learned a little from him.â€

As the interview goes on, the MC revealed the she set a new record after getting 10 billion won CF deals. She said, “I’m really thankful, when I have more CF, have more responsibility at the same time. Will be really careful.â€

Lee Seung Gi then added “ I really pity Suzy sometimes, her rest time is used up for CF's, so she does not have much time to restâ€.

After hearing what the actor said, Suzy suddenly burst into tears and was touched on Lee Seung Gi’s remark.

Their hardwork seems to be worth it as the “Book of the House of Gu†gets the highest ratings for its time slot every time it airs.

Up till now, Lee Seung Gi, whether through acting or his personal growth, has worked with only older female actresses. How was his experience working with Suzy? “In the beginning, without hesitation, I gave her advice. I believe this past history between us has contributed to making the drama successful. To be honest, when I was paired with seasoned actors and actresses I didn’t need to do that. Suzy is much younger than me and after getting comfortable around each other, I was able to communicate to her what I felt was the essence of Yeo Wool’s character after reading the script for a particular scene.†That’s why I think our acting was in harmony with each other…because we didn’t get thrown off but became an ensemble instead. Later on, Suzy’s acting and our acting got much better, I was even very proud of the things that Yeo Wool had prepared for me.†Inside a drama, when there’s a melo line between two people, our acting was done so that the viewers were left wondering, “Do they really like each other in real life?†because it looked so believable.


 


“In reality, I did have feelings. Aside from acting well or poorly, my acting depends on whether I have some kind of feeling or interest in my costar for it to be believable.†Honestly, Suzy is a friend that has all the traits and charm that all men would want. After incorporating this into Yeo Wool’s character, I think I was able to focus on her character well. In real life, Suzy is friend and we remain on friendly terms. I feel that her personality is an extremely strong point for her. Instead of feeling that she’s an actress, the fact that I can talk naturally with her onscreen…I discovered that she possessed a talent/charm that fit me at that (young) age.â€
