do your armpits smell

if so, what kind of odor do they smell of and to what degree? and what are the conditions under which they smell?

and what color are you?

do you guys put stuff on your skin?

i'm asian and my pits typically don't stink unless i forgo a shower for a day (2+ days when it's cold and i don't exercise)

some days it's raw onions

some days it's a weird rotting fruit smell (don't have lactic acidosis either)

and i've been forgoing anti-perspirant and deodorant since high school because i got a huge ass torso rash after applying it to broken skin

i really don't need it

i personally think underarm hair is hideous so i shave it once it becomes a writhing morass

and my pits end up smelling worse

it's freaking counter-intuitive like that

my streamlined pits should absorb less of that odor than the hair that used to be on it (less surface area for the malodorous molecules) am i right or am i right?

resident exocrinologists or dermatologists on OH feel free to explain this discrepancy

Lol. You seem very passionate

Tbh, my armpits don't really stink....I don't have to use deodorant but I do just in case. I'm not the kind of person who sweats a lot unless it's incredibly hot which happens often in Australia. But then again, my sweat doesn't smell terrible for other people or myself to notice. Try to not forget showering though because that just makes everything nasty. I always shower daily.

I sweat alot but not in my armpits nor do I put on deodorant.

I think shaving your hair off your armpits makes it smell more because your skin absorbs %60 of what's on it's surface alone. Think of the hair like a shield or a natural blow dryer? The hair is of course going to absorb the sweat/foul odors too but instead has a different reaction from bare skin. The hair keeps it from going in the skin more.

Typically you can't smell my pit odor unless you stick your nose directly up in there, and even then it's barely noticeable. I don't wear deodorant, and it doesn't matter how much I sweat or how long I forgo washing.

The only time my pits stink is when I eat a lot of carby foods, and then it smells so bad sometimes I don't even want to raise my arms  :rlytearpls:

I think you should use some type of scrub on your armpits, take showers regularly and maybe change your diet fatty food makes your sweat smell like rotting food me personally don't have armpit hair (genes) and i don't use deodorant because i'm sensitive to it but i scrub my armpits with a loofah and lemon to keep them white and clean :] but i don't scrub them like a maniac lol

you wont be able to smell your body odour unless you go right up close to your arm pits, but its alot stronger for anyone else beside you.

my armpits are disgusting

try natural deodorant, you can make some yourself and it works quite well.

What's natural deodorant? Do you mash up flowers with flour and milk and slap it on thick on your pits?

  •
1/8 cup cornstarch

  • 1/8 cup arrowroot powder

  • Optional: Essential oils

ok you wonderful delicious-smelling people

how do you maintain your shirts

do you wear black? or do you sacrifice your shirts every few months to the deodorant gods?

baking soda seems like the only possible active ingredient on there but it's only optional lol

also i don't have a coochie to try that on
