He came back to the Prime Ministership tonight after challenging Julia Gillard for the top job and won 57-45 votes just some minutes ago. Technically it needs to be confirmed by the Governor General but it's pretty much done atm. For some context, he was the Prime Minister of Australia and the leader of the ALP in 2010 until he was challenged by Gillard who was then the Deputy Prime Minister and lost his position as party leader.
