A k show that pits amateurs against k idols/industry professionals

a premise like many other music competition shows where each week the contestants cover songs, but this time its unknowns vs. knowns. the unknowns are filtered through a short audition process then are put up against the knowns. would you watch it?

It would be a nice idea... but how will the winner be chosen? fan votes? nah the unknowns wont stand a chance...

naaa 100% fan votes wouldnt be a good idea. maybe 10/15% fan vote? part of the vote might be other hand chosen professionals. they could possibly be biased too, but technique-wise theyd probably be better judges.

its something i want to see too...maybe i should should submit the idea to one of the broadcast stations lol

 

dont send your idols unless they can handle it. it wont be like constantly losing on immortal songs, where at least everyone has some industry experience. this time itll be losing against amateurs.

yes, but i dont think singers would want to participate

and there are other shows for unknowns to get recognition so 

it would never work, basically

I thought OP was going to be talking about Hidden Singer, actually. XD  Hm, I didn't realize it was only one measure of a song, though.  And I suppose it differs from OP because impersonation is kind of part of Hidden Singer's concept whereas OP's scenario is just a competition.
