The incident took place at the Nanjing Airport, reported on August 16th 2014.

People are reporting EXO staff refused to let airport security examine their luggage,
which created conflict between them and the airport security, but that part isn’t confirmed.

But it’s reported that the police arrested the bodyguard for pushing fans and hitting fans trying to get too close, at the security desks. Lay, in the captured videos, is heard yelling at the bodyguards to stop assaulting and hitting the fans.

Some Netizens are saying the bodyguard shouldn’t have done so,
While others are saying the fans deserved it for getting too crazy.

We’ll let you know when more updates are released.

Here’s the video of Lay yelling at the guards to stop

What do you think?

Good.

and do you guys think that the bodyguard should have been arrested over this??

Absolutely. An assault is an assault. Are you saying he's above the law and should get away scot free with attacking people?

I can't really understand why they wouldn't let airport security look through their bags though? I mean, unless EXO fans were the airport security.

Thinking on it now, I'm sure some fans are crazy enough to become airport security just to look through idols luggage.

i'm glad something was done. there's a difference between keeping fans in order versus downright assaulting them and causing unnecessary problems at an airport of all places

wow

tho i can't really make sense of anything that happened in the fancam, if lay really did tell his bodyguard to stop assaulting people then props for him. most idols wont dare to raise the issue with their managers and some might even avoid doing so simply because they don't really care much/think the unruly fans deserve it. granted this is only a bodyguard whose power over the idols is probably a lot less than that of a manager, but still, i applaud lay for speaking up

but on the other hand perhaps the bodyguard wasn't really that out of line if fans were getting too out of control/endangering the safety of the idol. i mean it's his job to protect the idols, so maybe he just did what he felt was right... still, from the video it looked like the typical airport scene where fangirls were just too excited to see their oppas and didn't have intentions of hurting him. regardless of the situation with the fans, the bodyguard's refusal to let airport security check exo's bags is absurd =.= it's an airport and no one, not even exo, is above having their bags checked.

why does this always happen with EXO?????? but yeah that bodyguard shouldn't have done that, i mean what did he expect to happen??? they aren't in korea where he could get away with it...

watched the video, can't really make sense of anything that happened cuz everything was so hectic... i think i heard what could have been Lays voice though...

The bodyguard is at fault for not letting the baggage check, its a must you know...

As for assaulting the fans, hmmm.... maybe some deserves it... they should know how to keep distance, they can hurt the idols.

If assault is assault then fans shouldn't get away with assaulting fans and idols.

Fans aren't above the law either.

I kinda see him getting away with this. They're going to look at the cams and will see at least one or 10 girls assaulting him

Everything is unconfirmed reports. We don't know what caused the conflict between the body guard and airport security. But I think he was detained, not arrested. And the not allowing luggage to be checked is a rumor, not confirmed.

There are different fan accounts of what happened at the airport. There's one where fans pushing caused a body guard to bump into Lay who then was seen holding onto his back as if he was hurt.

First, the one who was arrested hit the policeman.

Second, someone broke a security equipment which belongs to China Inspection & Quarantine Services.

Because someone thought the equipment was a camera which used for taking photos of EXO.

The guy deserved this.

P.S.:Youth Olympic Games held in Nanjing this summer. Security is not as usual, especially in airport and train station.

I wholeheartedly agree. Find those crazy bitches and lock them up too.

I thought it's already confirmed he's been arrested? Dafuq so he's only been detained? Send his ass to the slammer along with any other heaux stalking and harassing EXO.
