I met another person online and we became best friends and lasted half a year before she disappeared and reappeared. Tried talking to her again but it just wasn't the same so we cut it. Currently in a Skype group with four people but, I don't get that best friend feeling. Not even sure what feeling it is but I know we are kind of closer than just friends. jaecutie 3,326 Posted August 15, 2014 Share Posted August 15, 2014 depends. i used to be best friends with a girl when i was younger, we weren't really close but she was the closest thing to a best friend i really had. she had another friend she had known longer, and when we met each other we hated each other instantly otl but then a year later or so puberty and stuff hit us and she slowly started hanging out with a different crowd and left me and the girl who i hated to hang out with each other and (surprise surprise) we realized we had tonnnnsss of stuff in common with one another we've been best friends for 4 years now and i hope we stay that way. so no, best friends might not always be forever but you can make new ones along the way Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For example, I have a friend whose best friend has been around with for 6 years, meanwhile I have another which has had two best friends, one after she broke ties with the other, and now neither of them are her friends anymore, they ended in a bad way. I don't see myself without them in my life tbh. Everyone's relationship is different. You can't say it doesn't last for everyone, you can say it lasts for some and it doesn't for others.
