Forum people irl

Have you ever wondered what it would be like meeting people you talk to online in real life? Like forum members or people you've met on Twitter or whatever? Would you ever do it?

I normally keep my online self separated from my offline self, but I kinda do think it would be fun meeting people and seeing how they compare to how I pictured them. In a really awkward kind of way.

How about chu?  :)

I've already met someone from OH and I may meet another to sell an album soon

besides that, I've met lots of people from the internet. some of them remain my closest and dearest friends for over a decade now even though we still live far apart. they've also become friends with my existing irl friends which is great. when we travel to where they live we all meet up and hang out and it's great

I don't have any problems with meeting people from online, you never know what could happen

Well, I met my two best friends online and actually I would even consider them as a part of my family.

Over the many years they gave me really much and it was also often so much fun with them.

I always imagine how it would be like and tbh it makes me smile every time I think about it.

We'll probably meet next year in the summer holidays if possible.

Looking forward to it!

That's so cool. And really brave too

I wish I had your courage to do it. Oh and people who lived anywhere close to me - that also

haha it's funny because I'm quite shy irl and awkward around epople but the prospect of meeting internet people doesn't bother me at all... I guess it just comes with experience. I've met so many people now. I met my first internet friend I made (in 1998) in Canada in 2002 and since then I've met more and more people and I still know all of them with varying degrees of closeness.

my closest friends who were originally people I met online are two girls from NYC and San Francisco respectively who both knew each other before getting to know me, and we all met separately in the mid-00s before starting to hang out together. I've been to NYC (multiple times) and SF because of them, and they've visited me in Ireland. I even travelled with one of them around France and Scandinavia.

I just love meeting new people! even if we don't all have the same interests now we have that bond anyway. and I'd love to meet people from OH who are interested in kpop so we can talk about it irl. I'm also just lucky now I live in London because there are lots of people here and it's a popular tourist destination that a lot of people visit - it was harder to meet up when I lived in Ireland still.

How did you afford all of this?  :omg: You sound cool as. I wanna meet other UK people eventually, maybe when I can afford to travel  :._.:

I am really close to two girls I met online but especially close to one of them. She's really like an older sister to me, we're close to the point that if we ever met, it'd just be a formality, seeing each other's faces and all.

She's by far the best friend I ever had. She doesn't judge, she doesn't get angry at the dumbest things, she doesn't get too curious etc. Perfect.

lol well this is all over the last 10 years so it was gradual... and I always crashed and their places (and they crashed at mine) when I visited them so no need to pay for accommodation which made it more doable. I also lived in NYC on a student visa for 3 months in 2011 so I hung out with my NYC friend a lot then too, and our SF friend came to visit us and stayed with me during my time there.

right now I'm skint though so I won't be travelling anywhere for a while, as much as I'd like to...

i am the same person offline and online, the problem is that i have something called: "a permanent 'bitch face'", so i am afraid that if i ever meet you, you would believe i'm annoyed or something when it''s just my face.

please love me.
