It will have its world première at the festival.

The employees of a big-box discount retail store band together when contract workers are summarily laid off.

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)

Founded in 1976, TIFF is now one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the world. In 1998, Variety magazine acknowledged that TIFF "is second only to Cannes in terms of high-profile pics, stars and market activity." In 2007, Time noted that TIFF had "grown from its place as the most influential fall film festival to the most influential film festival, period." This is partially the result of TIFF's ability and reputation for generating "Oscar buzz".

 

"City To City" Series

Bringing international cities to Toronto audiences: the City to City series showcases filmmakers living and working in a selected city, regardless of where their films are set and gives a snapshot of where's hot right now. This year's spotlight: Seoul, South Korea.

 

“We have selected this South Korean cinema capital for the consistent strength and bounty of its cinema across the spectrum, from art house to commercial,†said Bailey. “Seoul continues to produce some of the world's most exciting auteurs, and we want the City to City spotlight to introduce our audience to the next generation. We are lucky to be based in Toronto, home to one of the most ardent audiences for Korean cinema outside of Korea.â€

it's not that "Cart" is the only Korean movie selected but considering it one of 300 films selected over the world still make me proud :rlytearpls:

btw TIFF 2014 will be held from 4 to 14 September 2014, it's soon!

from Korea there were 8 films chosen - http://www.tiff.net/festivals/thefestival/programmes/city-to-city

 

i can't believe for his first acting jobs he's been involved in such productions; even though his roles are small to be part of these drama's feels more rewarding. i hope the film is recieved well at the festival; TIFF is notoriously tough/difficult so if it does well there it should ace the other festivals.

yeah first time acting and he's been casted in a great production :rlytearpls: and i think his role is not too small, he's listed in the "Principal cast" in the film information :rlytearpls:

sm's media play will go into overdrive

 

Nahh.. It's not an SM produced film.  SM done zero promotion on Kyungsoo's drama when he got praised left and right so why would they media play on Cart?

 

If all Myung film will media play it.  Well it's not like it a bad thing. It's promotional tactic~

Yh even though his drama wasn't an SM production; I was still really suprised by the lack of promo/media play by SM after the good/decent reception he recieved - like they virtually did nothing. I guess I shouldn't expect much for this.

 

Myung films will definitely do it because as its an independent/crowdfunded film it will need the extra promo, funders and sponsers that TIFF can bring.
