when i first got into kpop, ive always thought that it was heavily influenced by britpop and not american pop. idkwhy but with all the groups and the producers that they work with, kpop would do well in europe i think.

some britpop bangerz for yall

(killing the choreo tbh and the production is awesome af)

(2 slaying choruses)

(redefining pop)

(this will forever be the best lineup)

all produced by the legendary xenomania (hope kpop artists get to work with them :D)

Britpop is awful, it's unlistenable these days, and ugh at you putting Girls Aloud. Reminds me though that the UK has 'nations titles' as well, Cheryl Cole was 'nation's sweetheart'.

well different strokes for different folks. im here for the xenomania productions mainly so idc about cheryl cole's nation titles hahaha. (i love nicola tho she weirdly stands out)

honestly I've never used the term britpop before buttt

Girls Aloud and the Sugarbabes are like my childhood angels, like if any one of their songs came on right now I'd be jammin.

^^For that term of Britpop Oasis are the childhood kings.

Though related to kpop I dunno how that would work out, but dayum I wouldn't cast it off straight away.

To people from Britain and of a certain age, 'Britpop' is actually a different genre of music to what you're talking about. Just so you know  :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britpop

oh sorry that's like my easiest way to classify them personally...like britain pop acts from spice girls to little mix - i just call them britpop. but thanks for letting me know that its actually a rock subgenre...so oasis and the verve (my faves as well) are britpop that's coolsies :D

Yep, they are indeed Britpop. Ironically, Oasis were the band that came to be most associated with Britpop, even though they hated the term and always said they were just a rock n roll band, not a Britpop band.
