SPICA rocking it @ Gameboi (The Rage Nightclub) LA

It's just a small nightclub, not a 50,000 seat stadium, but they rocked it. Forget all the US debut stuff  for a few minutes, this is SPICA at it's best, singing live for an audience that appreciates them. Great to see them just having fun, crowd was awesome.

It's nice that they get to spend some time in LA (even if it's working). I feel bad when there's an event in LA and you basically see some singers fly for like 16-18 hours arrive the day before. Perform the next day... Then fly back to Korea.

They end up spending more time in total air transit than they do in the US.

Well I have never been a Spica fan simply because until recently I knew nothing about them. But I must say I really enjoyed that. Really got me going and moving along. Loved it!!!

Also I wouldn't worry too much about the venue. A lot of the biggest stars got their start singing in clubs for about 50 people. They have more than that. All you need is word of mouth to spread from there and slowly it escalates into bigger and bigger things

Every group/band/singer starts somewhere.

Well done to them!!

I absolutely agree. I only mentioned the small venue and US debut as a preemptive strike to keep the thread from spiraling into negativity by keeping others from posting constantly about it. Nothing has come easy for SPICA so I'm sure they see entering the US market as a marathon, not a sprint. They'll just keep plugging away at the US market little by little as the opportunity arises while constantly working on building a fanbase in Korea.

Keep looking into them. Check out their other songs, cover songs, and interviews. I promise you won't be disappointed.

You're totally right when you say it's a marathon not a sprint and since Spica has had to fight for it then they can take knocks and keep going. In the Korean market because they promote for only a short time it's more a sprint not a marathon. So going and releasing songs for the Western market it's more about longevity. While ever your song is doing well they will keep having you on their shows even if that is 4 months later. Spica seem to understand it's not about hitting the number one spot, holding it for about 6 weeks then stopping promotion. It's about staying there for as long as possible.

I will check them out. I wish them the best of luck. Also they sound great live!
