PROLOGUE
 

TVXQ!
 

"Living life as a star is harbouring in our hearts the double-edged sword called stability and apprehension, and joy and pain. 
Although it is fearful, the fact that we are unable to give up this sword is because the people loving us, and always staying watch over us beside us, are here. 
10 years ago, we were incomplete. However, because of that, we were able to attempt challenges in an even more passionate manner.
And now, we set out to talk about our stories in this place.
Although this moment will be forgotten once it passes, we strive to record the brilliance of this moment. The one page (chapter) of the youth of TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin, which will no longer return again, is contained in here."

 

 

 

 

"The airport which we come at a frequency of 3-4 times a month. However, for today, it is extremely special to us.
The time for just the two of us which we have obtained for the first time in a long while. And liberty / freedom.
We forgot TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin temporarily, and returned to being Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin."

 

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "My heart's pounding at the thought of what kind of vacation is awaiting us. Immediately after we came out of the airport, Yunho hyung sat down along the street to catch his breath.

 

"Although we have always had to pass by streets with quick footsteps, it seems like just for today, we are trying to turn into unfamiliar languid vacationers."

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "It is a day when I don't want to get out of my bed. It's been an extremely long while since I have had a sound sleep till late in the morning. While receiving the warm morning sunlight, I have to laze around a little more."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "How long has it been since I woke up to the sunlight, without any sounds of the alarm? I dreamt a happy dream last night. I am anticipating a lot for the whole today today, and am excited."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "A leisurely morning. I ate breakfast with Yunho hyung in a relaxed manner and we decided to spend the morning at the swimming pool by the lakeside. The wind blowing coolly and the refreshing air. And even topping it off with a cup of coffee drank after swimming. There can be nothing better than this."
 

[Nindy]

 

 

Yunho - "The streets of Milan we stood on after getting decked out coolly. The vacation this time around where we stroll and look around slowly and freely. Shall we start out (on this vacation)?

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "Of course there is no way to leave out shopping in the fashion capital, Milan. Yunho hyung went straight into the fitting room with one hand full of clothes. Ah, that tiger print! If he wears that and comes out, how should I tease him? But he suited that better than I expected. Hyung, buy that!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"The two of us who look like twins because we are wearing similar outfits. Having been together for more than 10 years, it seems like we are gradually looking more like each other."

 

 

 

 

Changmin - " "Changmin ah, let's rest for a while before moving on!" Hyung who had been riding the bicycle, called to hold me back. During the time when Yunho hyung was catching up with me, I should look around here and there. Following along the road, the tranquil stores sparked my curiosity."

Changmin - "Kya! It's cooling. My throat is thirsty having walked for a long time under the sunlight. It is the first time after middle school that I am drinking water from the water cooler dispenser. I suddenly thought of the times when I was a student. During those times, I also played a lot of basketball...

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "The cute puppy I met while on a stroll. Once it saw me, it wagged its tail lightly and approached me."

 

 

"The people whose eyes met with ours welcomed the tourists with their leisurely smiles, even including the pure innocent gazes of the children and the animals. I also naturally came to have a smile on my face. I am really happy at this time."

 

 

 

Yunho - "There is so much delicious food in Italy. In such weather, of course it has to be ice cream! The taste of eating the natural fruit ice cream after riding a bicycle is just awesome beyond words. A commemorative photo too "shutter click!" "

 

 

 

"Having ridden around on a bicycle, it is even better to go around without a car. Meeting gazes with people, and I am even able to freely enter into places I want to go and come out of them whenever I wish. During those times, perhaps we had focused too much just on what was aheadof us and ran forward till this day. Just here in this place, I want to temporarily turn around and look behind me, and rest before moving on, hand around before roaming around the sights."

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "Immediately when Yunho hyung came to Italy, he ate ice cream every day. There were also so many various diverse types of ice cream... Both of us all lost ourselves in the sweet ice cream which melted in our mouths in the hot weather."

 

 

 

Yunho - "Which artist's paining is this? I won't be able to tear my eyes away from it. I sat by the roadside and gazed at the painting for a long time. I thought of the paintings even after returning to the hotel, and early the next morning I stopped by again and eventually purchased one painting." 

[Nindy]

 

Changmin - "The night view surrounding Naviglio Canal was really magnificent, so much so that I am not able to forget it even now. The people enjoying wine while sitting down at open-air cafes and the lovers who share kisses of love while standing along the streets. Because it was difficult to capture everything with both my eyes, I captured them through photographs, one by one."

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "We grabbed seats in order to have a cup of coffee in an open-air cafe. Of course Changminnie ordered beer. Perhaps he was thirsty, but he drank it all in one gulp. Yep, it should be fine even if I drink a little today."

"Sitting at the terrace patio of the cafe and enjoying the live performance. Because it was night, it was even more cool and there was a feel to it. Ah, this can't be it. Let's have a glass of wine!"

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "While vacationing this time around, there is a goal I had set. And that is reading a book before returning home. While in a dilemma over what kind of book to choose, I chose an essay book which is easy to read. Because I feel relaxed, the writings, line by line, drew closer to my heart."
 

 

Changmin - "I went to Yunho hyung's room but because he was reading a book, I came out quietly. We decided to spend our leisure time alone separately today. Today, I am going to go and take a look at the antique flea market at the Brera streets. I definitely have to buy some interior items which suit well with my house."

 

 

"There is also nothing as interesting as sitting along the streets and watching people. I asked, "What are these foreigners in suits passing by us doing?" Perhaps we looked funny doing this. Being able to sit down like this without a care for people's gazes. This time felt like only a dream."

 

 

 

Yunho - "Changminnie and I have recently gotten hooked on photography. I want to keep the present happy memories through photos. I'm referring to the things I want to remember, and this current present moment. With such significance, Shim Changmin should also take a photo too for me too!"

Changmin - "In a street where the sun shone upon, I sat down and shared a conversation with hyung for a long period of time. Starting from the verbal joking with each other about anything, to conversations about the heartfelt stories within our hearts. Although I knew that from some point in time ago, I have been depending on Yunho hyung as if he were family, I wasn't able to bring myself to tell him this. This moment, I wanted to tell him that. That I was thankful to him."

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "Us, who have been together for a long period of time, know each other well now even if we don't say anything. Looking at the Changminnie who had, at some point in time, grown even more mature than me, just that presence of his alone makes me feel reassured. That I am not alone, because we are two, I have been able to hold on till now. The little fellow whom I am extremely thankful for!"

 

 

 

 

 

"The lake which sees no end and can be believed to be an ocean even if so called, paints a beautiful scenery. What is there beyond the lake? The cruise yacht set off while slicing through the wind."

 

 

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "As we lost ourselves amidst the cool lake, gazing at the splashes of water, Yunho hyung and I went back to being little kids before we knew it."

 

[Nindy]

 

Yunho - "Guided by the hands of Changminnie who likes sports, we decided to go kayaking. Although I was a little afraid, when I actually tried kayaking, it was awesome. Because the instructor complimented me with "Good job!", I naturally developed self-confidence. Great! Hey, Shim Changmin! Shall we have a wager on dinner?"

 

 

 

 

"Good people, friendly people. People who open their hearts up and smile to us unconditionally. Amidst the affirmation given by these people, they made us smile. For us too, we want to become those type of people to others. Just like this warm sunlight."

 

 

 

 

Changmin - "The sky was clear without a single cloud. When will I be able to come back again to this place? I should leave only after capturing this beautiful scenery with both my eyes."

 

 

Yunho - "The cute children in the train are joking around. No matter where I go, the children are extremely lovable. Even now, I can still remember the gaze of the children who stretched out their hands, wanting to communicate with me. Although this is talk of the far future, my children will probably also be so lovable right?"

 

 

 

 

 

Yunho - "The last phase of our vacation. From the morning, we set out towards the direction of Piazza Castello. I wanted to try enjoy being leisurely in a carefree manner, just like someone living in Italy. Looking at the me lying atop the fountain, Changmin did not know what to do with me. Why, what's wrong? You should try lying down too!"

 

 

 

Changmin - "What is this? Hyung, have you really fallen asleep?"

 

Yunho" - "It feels great as the wind blows lightly and coolly towards me. Just like this without any words, just, even if time passes us by... this moment is really great."

 

 

"Our happy vacation has come to an end. However, we don't feel that it is a pity. Because to us, there are even more blessed tomorrows."

 

EPILOGUE

 

Yunho:

"It is the truth that when we decided to shelve our dormitory lives and turn to trying out our respective single lives, instead of feeling sad, the relief was more palpable. However, it was not an easy thing to live a life of sleeping in your house and waking up without having somebody around. I had such thoughts many times, "Was Changmin's existence / presence so huge?" When we did not have schedules, the text messages sent (by Yunho to Changmin) which read "Have you eaten?", and the calls which went "Hyung, shall we have a drink?", were really great. Just the fact of having the younger brother called Shim Changmin by my side, I like that."

Changmin:

"The day in 2011 when we went up on stage for the first time after becoming a duo, amidst the nervousness which was even more heightened than that when we debuted, the Yunho hyung who grasped hold of my hand, when I was just staring at the ground. And the Yunho hyung who had told me, "We can do it well". Because hyung is here, I was able to hold out till now, because hyung is here, it seems like I will be able to attempt more challenges in the future. Because we are connected by the string called "TVXQ", which will never be able to be severed."

May I ask, do the other two books have anything quotes in them like this book (La Storia)? I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered   If they do, will you guys share them later?!?! I'm copying all these inspirational/heartwarming quotes down now so when I finally get my copy, I'm going to type up all these translations and tape them into the book (just so I'll be able to understand them )

I don't think I can live without my own copy of these 3 books.

Its SO expensive, but i will find a way to get one. These scans are SO beautiful...and the translations are wonderful and SO SO appreciated! I want to do like Ling-Er...paste the trans into the actual book.

A person could totally get LOST in these pictures!
