Sounds a lot like celebrity soldier stuff to me. Not sure why they should get easier treatment. Athletes already have it better than other males in Korea because if a male athlete manages to win a gold medal in the Asian games or any medal in the Olympics they are no longer required to fulfill their mandatory military service.

Like he cheats on his gf that is considered the pride of his nation by going to massage parlours(which have been proven to not be the best places for celebrities while in army),then he's taking advantage of his already favourable position in army and all that while it's most certain that people keep an eye on him.
