Who would you say was the most successful group for these companies overall..

 

I did not include H.O.T, F(x) & SHINee cuz Shinhwa, SNSD and Super Junior were from the same generation..

and I only included groups that debuted in 2009 and before.. nothing after..

As for YG it has to be their new groups 2ne1/big bang, not sure how 1TYM nor BIG MAMA did but their soloists did much better than the YG groups I think.... (back then)

Overall it's defnitely DBSK, Bigbang and Wonder Girls.

DBSK are incomparable tbh, the success they've had throughout Asia is unparalleled by any other male group I imagine.

I know DBSK was a true legend, I admit that and think SMs most legendary boy group was them but I think on the long run SNSD achieved what no other has in SM, so I went with them. Even tho before in their early time, they still did so well.

BB for sure.

2pm in their peak were so big but I think WG was bigger but both didn't do close to G.O.D. so G.O.D I think.

not being biased but because they has made money more than anyone else in SM , their money source isn't only came from album sales or concert , south korea national icon/girlgroup , 1st forbes 4 out of 5 recent years.. winning both korean physical and digital daesang , something tvxq or sj never achieved

Girls Generation have title as "south korea national girlgroup" which mean they are known even for non-kpop fans /non-fans/ south korea general public . from 7 years old - 60 years old people, large number of fanboys and fangirls stanning them , not just fangirl...  national symbol

OVERALL. 

 

1. That does not matter. G.O.D has sold millions of albums. They went on a hiatus for years, to come back this year and only be welcomed back with success (mainly digitally - but that's to be expected). 

2. You are underestimating the actual impact the Wonder Girls have had on KPOP and girl groups. And, even the BMB single sold about 4m digitally alone lol.

3. The question isn't about which group is the main source of money right now.
