Hello. I figure I'll give these guys a chance, I really liked Mama beat, both the song and the mv and now I'm going to give the rest of the album a listen. I'm sad to see there only seems to be poster in here though, I figured more regular posters here would enjoy it.

Yeah.  Tbh, I'm not that surprised.  Half expected the response after seeing the mv and song.

Yeah, they have a different sound compared to a lot of idol groups, that's for sure. I think everyone was expecting them to come out with songs like BEG just with male voices, but it's a completely different sound and I love it.   I can't wait for more stuff to come from them.

Yeah.  I remember on twitter when I said how I felt kinda sorry for them for being dubbed the male BEG, 'cause people will have this expectation for them (and a rather high one at that).  Kinda sad, but I'm glad their trying to make a different name for themselves.

They're definitely making a new name for themselves, their album is the only k-pop album I have to turn down the bass boost on my headset so that my head doesn't explode.   Also, their looks are very... unique. It seems like they came out of the gate trying to separate themselves from all the other up-and-coming groups, and I feel like that's what may have been what's causing some people to stray away from them.

No one likes to be a shadow.  But hopefully this desire to be different doesn't turn people away.  I can see it happening though...

That reason is more than likely why they're being received they way the are here.  I don't know how they're doing in Korea, but I am rather curious.

I'm just hoping people will be willing to not judge them on what they look like and just listen to their music. If they're being received as silly looking nugu's (Am I using that word right? I haven't been in the k-pop scene long enough to actually find a time to use it) here, then I can only imagine how they will be received in Korea, they tend to be more critical of looks than international fans are.

Whats a nugu? Since looks proves to be a major factor. They have the down pack. With their photos and video...now I understand their concept a little more. At first I was so confuzzled about those damn photos lol

nugu = new up-and-coming group, and I'm still sort of confused about their concept, but I think that's what the concept is supposed to do. I mean... King's hair, there ain't no explaining/understanding that.

OoOoOo okay Okay I get it I get it. To be honest, I am still slightly trying to figure out exactly what their concept was but I got a little something together.

 

 

 

Their photos look to be very spacey, out of their world. The photo has glowing affects with the background as the galaxy. Along with the, the members in the photo looks almost non human. So then came in the video.From the intense fighting and ability to get hit severely hard and get back up showed that perhaps they are not "human." In a sense they have powers. Like one member was hit in the head with a brick. He was still up. Another member got hit with an ax pick in his arm. He bleed but still got up. Then when E.Den went to punch...his eyes lite up light blue and when he punched the other member fist to fist it sent off a charge of wind effect and electricity...so perhaps they are super sayians? Oh perhaps having a smiliar concept to B.A.P with a twist. That is what came to me. Overall, I appreciate the color of the photos and the video was quite intense....hopefully they will release more and things will become clear for us.

Yeah, that makes sense. I like the concept they came up with because it can appeal to a lot of people. Oh you like action animes? Take a look at this awesome MV for this new group. Only problem I see is the fact that their concept is overshadowing the music itself. In Mama beat, the sound effects at certain parts overtook the song, and a lot of people took notice of it in the MV thread here. I don't know, maybe the sound effect overtaking was supposed to try and make people buy the mini so they can hear the actual song?  j/k

I just noticed something while watching the Mama Beat video... King is wearing an american flag shirt and an jacket that has stars & stripes on it. In the video, he seems to royally suck at fighting other than using the weapons he finds, like the hatchet, pipe, and brick... Is this an indirect jab at the U.S?

So...there could possibly be 3 more members to the group.  Making LC9...LC9.

Makes sense... Throws a wrench in me calling my bias for the group though.

It does solve the whole reason for 9.  But it's so out of the blue.  Why not release info with the others?  Nega be confusing me.  >.<

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense... They already released their first mini, they had their debut stage... Now there's 3 more. Are they gonna rerecord their stuff or are they just gonna ignore the fact that their debut release doesn't have 3 of the members on it.

This the picture you're talking about? And wow... I wonder if this is actually true... I don't know what to believe. It seems like it wouldn't be a good idea to bring in 3 people after a debut/mini.

It was a lot better than their last performance, far and wide. They got rid of the hands-free mics so you could actually hear them and they just seemed 100x more comfortable this time around. Hopefully there will be a vid up of it shortly.

I agree, I like that I can hear their voices really well and that the music doesn't over power them. Is KING the leader or something. He seems to be in the front a lot and has a lot of lines.

Rasa is technically the leader, King's just the lead vocalist.

So I thought i'd take a look at this thread and check out LC9 and the first thing I noticed was King's hair O___O so much volume.....may listen to their songs in the next few days....they didn't debut yet did they?

King's hair is BA though!  Yeah, they've had 2 shows so far. I just recently posted their performance on MusicCore a few posts up and their debut stage is somewhere in the last few pages.

everytime the axe part comes around i get uncomfortable and like i feel so creeped i rub my toes together lol but i freaking love it

Am I the only one that thought that that axe was gonna be used to behead someone? Wnenever I see an axe used, I automatically think its for that O___O

Nah, it seemed like King was supposed to suck at fighting in the MV since he only ever hit anyone with a weapon. If he would have went for a beheading he probably would have missed and came back and hit himself with it.

Had a stage today on Inkigayo, only video up right now though is about 2 pixels wide and turns into one giant pixel when they move at all so I'll post it later when i wake up, or someone else can if they beat me to it.

Thanks for sharing! Man, I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed like half of the group was feeding off the energy of the audience and half of them were nervous causing a couple lyrics to either be forgotten or just misspoken and there was a time or two where they were pretty offbeat on their choreography... still, I guess it's their debut on a stage like that so it's understandable and then not long after this performance they were trending on Melon!

Eh, I have no pull when it comes to tumblr, I have like one follower and all I ever do is reblog stuff >_<. I don't know, i'll probably end up making a post sometime tonight, tag it, and try to reach out; no promises though.
